MONDAY MEANDERINGS

This is all done

In the midst of this right now--trimming up to 10.5"

I have all the green/aqua blocks trimmed and have decided not to sash them with white strips,
but rather set them against each other--two rows of green, two of pink and two of purple
bordered by the lavender fabric I (caved in!!) ordered online....

FYI: for you walkers out there:
I went to our boardwalk and did 40 minutes (I have only been doing 20 minutes on our treadmill up to today,, so progress)--while (poor) DH went up to his PT for his pinched nerve problem.  He will go again Wed and next Mon--then he will get the lumbar epidural shot on the 29th...we are hoping for the best results....

These wildflowers are blooming just off our deck--the scent is amazing--enveloping us as we sit out there....in our own little Land of the Lotus Eaters....

Hugs to you all

DOUBLE FUN

Remember these?? Last year I joined RSC2015 along with the
Postage Stamp Swap and made 12 of these blocks....and

here are the other six:

Since I finally finished Cassidy's blocks this morning (Phew!!) I decided to take a break and
put these up on Le Wall ; they are 17" +/- square--

I know they need something else--right now I have set them 3 across and four down to get 52" x 68"
Pretty good sized already--but they don't speak to me this way....

So I am thinking of adding this fabric as borders.....

I LOVE this black & white  print in French--
I really don't know if I will also add some sashings--
........................???????
or just two long strips from top to bottom to separate colors???

Right now, I cannot visualize it.----  so..................
it will stay up there so I can/will peek at it going by and while I sew Cassidy's blocks together....
;--))))
speaking of which--I will have to put Cassidy's on my living room floor as my wall isn't big enough
to contain it ....and I've realized that the Christmas backing strippy I made isn't big enough either.....

more decisions..... ;000....

I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day holiday..
We will be having hot sweet sausage grinders, with DH's homemade sauce and peppers and
onions covered in mozzarella....that's our dinner tonight...

hugs, Julierose, La Blageuse (sewing-euse).

ELEPHANTS ON PARADE

The latest three done this morning......

And if I've said this before I apologize--can you see how the cut edge that came on this 1.5" strip (I did not touch it) is so wave-y and raveling??

I put it on my cutting mat and if you look closely (sorry for the close-up blurring) you can make out its uneveness and raveling--in order to fix (??) this I am using the pinked edges of the 2.5" strips as my straight edge---we'll see how this works;000

(Moda, be very ashamed of yourself on this Honeybun!!Shame on you!!)

"Voici !! La Mama Elephante"------------ her herd is below here:

Stepping carefully around the flowers in the middle...;))))

(Can you make them out???--Pretty dainty stepping for elephants..LOL)

And below...the one yellow 5" square in the charm pack--all others have two???
I wonder why???

I'll have to see how this fits in....hmmmmm

Mama in her final walk through her field of flowers...enjoying the wonderful scents.....and so my thoughts run amok......

While I was sewing this morning, I was listening to ABC Radio's Piano Classics--so relaxing--time to go and practice myself this afternoon....

I'll leave you with visions of elephants tip-toe-ing daintily through fields of flowers today....
