Description/Reviews
This is different from the previous two efforts, and shows a wealth of influences.  Brieg recently mentioned to me that Opeth and King Crimson influenced the sound of this album, and that after much thought, he has really found his style in progressive/hard rock (especially using ‘real’ instruments and vintage amps).  That all sounds great, right?
What remains is the darkness that drew me to this band’s work in the first place.  “En Desped” is as foreboding (yet cool) as the album’s artwork, courtesy of  Javier Sagasta Lacalle.
BTW, if you can’t understand the lyrics… you (like me) obviously don’t speak Breton; the band continues its tradition of singing in their native language.  But that doesn’t detract from the music (as it speaks for itself), and I really admire the band for championing their culture through their music. Description/Reviews
Ar Bed Kloz meaning ‘The Closed World’ is a revolution in Breton music. The 10 track Breton language album takes you on an auditory sensory journey. The masterpiece combines prog rock whilst harping back in certain tracks to traditional Celtic sounds with the subtle intervention of the violin, uillean pipes and accordian, reflecting the influences of his musical journey.Echoes of 70’s rock are mixed with atmospheric melodies which along with his heartfelt vocals, tight punchy electric guitars, and heavy drums takes you with him on an emotional ride; the darker years of his teenage life bleed into the music with dark lyrics that sit comfortably on top of epic sound tracks leaving you captivated and wanting more...
