Light the Night

Our shed -- lit up for the long winter nights...
Thanks to my husband for installing a new bulb
and setting the timer to light the shed both mornings and evenings.

Wonderland by Night

The fire-fly hunt was the prelude to the light show
that developed as darkness settled in last night.
Happy to see that ALL the solar lights were working!

Scene in a New Light

Our supermarket occasionally runs a "special" - buy 10 for $10/Get the 11th free.
These lights were included.  Yesterday I purchased six of them
and five other grocery items.
I have an appointment that will take me past the store this morning.
I think I'll buy 11 more!  $.90@ is a great deal...
and they looked SO good when the sun went down last night!
How do you "light" the night at YOUR house?

Mid-October Touches

  We added the lights to the front porch last night;
this arrangement sits on a small table thereupon.
This is probably as beautiful as our tree will be!
The next strong wind or rain storm will bring its leaves down.
Across the street, the sun puts on an evening show.
The sky glows in applause.
Goodnight, Moon!

Nightscape

Solar-charged over the past two days, these three delightful creatures are shining brightly in front of our house this morning!  I had admired them at a friend's lake cottage, and a week ago she delivered a set to me.  As their colors slowly "morph" from one to another, they stand in brilliant contrast to the dark shadows in which they are hiding.

Do you have any solar powered beauty in YOUR yard?
