Adornments

Penny Black, Kecia Waters, Distress Inks, watercoloring, Christmas ornaments
I'm LOVING this brushstrokes stamp by Penny Black.  It is called "Adornments".  It found its way into my shopping card during the Black Friday sales last month.

I put the stamp into my Misti, applied the Distress Inks of Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint and stamped onto Canson Watercolor paper. I added water with a brush to move the color around.  I stamped the tops of the ornaments with Versafine Onyx Black and watercolored with Distress Ink Watered Wood.  Distress Inks Watered Wood and Hickory Smoke proved the shadow.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and is from A Jillian Vance Design.  Using a Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen I brushed lightly over the ornaments for a slight shimmer.

LOVE!!! LOVE!!! LOVE!!! this stamp!  Or do I love the color of these ornaments?  Or both?

Christmas Star

AJVD, Kecia Waters, Christmas Star, gold
There's no coloring on this one (gasp!), but that's okay.  This is a very quick, elegant card that can be made when time is ticking away and you need a fast Christmas card.

I made this card using some specialty gold cardstock and the beautiful Elegant 3D Star die from A Jillian Vance Design.  The sentiment is gold heat embossed and is also from AJVD.

You can read all about this five minute, but elegant, card over on the AJVD blog today.

Corgie and Bess Ugly Sweaters

Mo's Digital Pencil, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, corgi, ugly sweaters, Christmas
This card features the digital image of Corgie and Bess Ugly Sweaters from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I printed the image onto Hammermill Color Copy and colored with Copic markers.  The greeting is from A Jillian Vance Design and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.  I placed the image onto a card panel from The Paper Studio.

No Sloopy Dog was replaced due to this card, LOL.  This card was made specifically for a friend.

Back again tomorrow with a quick card from AJVD.  See you then.

Ya Don't Say

Sassy Cheryl's, Kecia Waters, snowman, birds, winter, Copic markers
This cute digital image is a brand spankin' new one from Sassy Cheryl's.  It is called Ya Don't Say.   Perfect for Christmas, but I tried to show how this image can be extended into winter, hinting even at Valentine's Day on this one.

I printed Ya Don't Say onto Hammermill Color Copy.  I colored it with Copic markers.  I stamped some white snowflakes from Stamps By Judith using Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment ink and heat embossed.  I added a snow dusting with a white gel pen.  The sentiment is from A Jillian Vance Design and is white heat embossed onto a black sentiment flag.  The hearts are punched from a heart punch and colored with Copics.

Thanks for stopping by the blog this weekend.  Hope you have a productive weekend.  I know I sure need one.

Love Is A Four Legged Word

Sassy Cheryl's, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, Santa, Christmas, puppy
Ho! Ho! Ho!  Nothing can be cuter than Santa and a puppy, right?!  This card features the digital image of Love Is a Four Legged Word from Sassy Cheryl's.

I printed this card onto Hammermill Color Copy.  I masked the image of Santa using a masking pen and made the snow drift by masking with a Post It note.  I sponged some Distress Inks to make a blue sky.  I then removed the masks and colored the image with Copic markers.  The snow is simply dots from a white gel pen.

So I caved on Christmas cards this year.  Time hasn't been on my side.  Walgreen's Photo Cards to the rescue!  But, oh what a cute photo I have.  Seriously failed as a stamper though.

Cute and Clumsy Elves

Hello!  I truly relate to that elf on the left, LOL.

It's the last Tiddly Tuesday of 2017.  We end with the challenge of Be Merry over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.  Sure hope you take time from the hustle and bustle of the season and join us.

This card features a new image from the Tiddly Inks bundle Cute and Clumsy Elves.  I printed the adorable image onto Hammermill Color Copy and colored with Copic markers.  You might notice a little shimmer on that ribbon, compliments of a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen.  The sentiment was stamped with an old Hero Arts wooden stamp using Versafine Onxy Black.

Thanks so much for coming by my blog during this busy time of year.  I appreciate it.

Feets of the Elves

AJVD, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, Christmas, Elf
It is so much fun to use a stamp set in unexpected ways.  This feet image is actually from a Halloween set from AJVD and was created with the intention of these feet belonging to a witch.  But, with a little color change, just take a look at these elves' feet.

You can read all about this card on the A Jillian Vance Design blog today.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.

Wrapped Up in Love

Sassy Cheryl's, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, snowman, winter, cute dog, scarf, snow
I spent Sunday morning coloring this image. I was going to toss it because in the beginning it looked hideous.  But, I kept working it, and ended up loving the result.

This card features the adorable digital image called Wrapped Up in Love by Sassy Cheryl.  I printed it onto Hammermill Color Copy and colored with Copic markers.  The white snowflakes are compliments of a white gel pen.  I scored around the image panel.

Thanks a bunch for visiting my blog today.  I sure appreciate that you take the time to look the cards I make.

Candy Cane Girl

Sassy Cheryl's, Keca Waters, copic markers, candy cane, Christmas
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas and it's not even Thanksgiving.

Can't feel too guilty though coloring up this cutie from Sassy Cheryl's Candy Cane Love digital stamp set.  I printed the image onto Hammermill Color Copy paper and colored with Copic markers.  I carefully fussy cut the image and placed on a card panel with some candy cane striped Washi tape.  The sentiment is from A Jillian Vance Design.  Three red enamel dots complete the card.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!  I appreciate it!

Christmas Lantern

AJVD, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, Christmas, stained glass
My first Christmas card of the year.  49 days until Christmas.  Hmm.

You can read all about this card that features the stamp set of Christmas Lantern on the A Jillian Vance Design blog.  Go see.  Had to get out the Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel for this one.

Like a crazy woman, I have posts scheduled through Saturday.  Please come soon.  I made lots of cards this past weekend with that extra hour.  Therapeutic.

Here Comes Santa Paws

Stamper's Anonymous, Kecia Waters, Tim Holtz, Copic markers, Christmas, dachshund, Santa Paws
Maybe you keep checking my blog for the official 2016 Christmas card.  If so, today's the day.  I had to delay this post a day or two because I was a bit late getting these out.  No excuse for that, but that's just the way this year played out.

The image of the dog and hat are from the ever popular Tim Holtz's Crazy Dogs and Crazy Things from Stamper's Anonymous.  They were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers.  I masked both the dog and the hat with masking film so that I could create the paw print background.  I used a background stamp from My Favorite Things by stamping it with Versamark.  I then sponged on some Mama Elephant Smoke pigment ink.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  The image panel was cut with a stitched rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp and attached to a red cardstock panel.

I like it.  I hope all of my recipients did too.

Merry Christmas Swirls

Here's a quick CAS Christmas card that maybe I need to think about making for next year, since I am not quite finished with my official Christmas card of the year.

You can read all about this card over on the A Jillian Vance Design Blog today.

I hope to catch my breath, breathe, and be back towards the end of the week with more.

Merry Molly

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, Christmas
It's the last Tiddly Tuesday of the year!  This time our challenge is "A Very Merry Christmas".  A harder than you think challenge because Tiddly Inks has so many fabulous Christmas images from which to choose.

I decided to color up the new digital image of "Merry Molly".  I just love her, and I'll admit it...I love how she turned out on this card!  Am I allowed to admit that?  I printed her on X-Press It cardstock and colored her with Copic markers.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and is from A Jillian Vance Design.

Sure hope you join us for the last challenge of 2016.  All of the details can be found on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.

I'll be back a few more times in 2016...still a few more cards to share, including The 2016 Christmas Card.   I am happy to report the mass production gained some strides this past weekend.

Pine Branches

AJVD, Kecia Waters, pine branches, Season's Greetings, Christmas, Distress Inks
I was a little surprised waking up to some snow yesterday.  I guess you can say that's what inspired this card.

This card features the stamp set "Pine Branches" from A Jillian Vance Design.  It was fun to play with it, as I stamped the branch with Simon Says Jelly Bean dye ink first.  Then using my MISTI, did some more stamping adding some darker green ink and brown ink with my Tombow Markers, in an attempt to create some depth.  The pine cone was stamped with Distress Ink Walnut Stain and then colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The background was sponged with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass.  The "snow" is sponge lightly dabbed Copic White with a brush.

You can't see it, but this card shimmers thanks so some Art Anthology Ice spray.

Truly mixed media, huh?

You can read all about this card on the AJVD blog today.

Thanks so much for coming to my blog.

Be Merry and Bright

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Christmas, dog, Copic markers, Be Merry
It is another Fabulous Friday!  And today, I am sharing a card with an image I think is so stinking adorable.  It is "Be Merry and Bright Pupmas" from Tiddly Inks.  I'm now kicking myself, because THIS should have been my 2016 Christmas card! Maybe next year?

Anyway, I printed the image onto X-Press It cardstock and colored the image with Copic markers.  Did a little scoring along the top and the bottom of the image panel.  That's it.  I think that is all this adorable image needs.

Make sure you make your way over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.  You'll see some gorgeous Tiddly Inks inspiration.  That's why it's such a Fab Friday!

Have a great weekend!  Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

Season's Greetings Stenciled Card

AJVD, Kecia Waters, Distress Ink, watercoloring, holly, Christmas, CAS
I spent most of the weekend working on my 2016 Christmas card.  It is in production mode.

This is not it, but I kinda wish it was because this card could truly be mass produced quickly.  It features the die from "Holly & Swirls" from A Jillian Vance Design.  I used the negative cut as a stencil and sponged Distress Ink Peeled Paint.  I then activated the ink with a waterbrush and painted the image.  A bit of Tombow marker provided the rich green and the berries.

You can read all about this card on the AJVD blog today.

Now, back to the production of the 2016.  I'll share it on Christmas Day, of course, right here on the blog.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Wryn, Christmas, Copic markers
Baby, it's cold outside.  Well, not really.  Today's high will be 60 degrees.  In December.

It's time for another Tiddly Tuesday over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.  The challenge is to "Get Frosty".  I decided to feature the Tiddly Inks digital image of Winter Wryn.  I printed the image onto a card panel of X-Press It.  I colored the entire image with Copic markers and sponged some Distress Ink Salty Ocean around the edges of the panel.  The snow is actually Ranger Texture Paste spread over a Falling Snow Stencil by Simon Says Stamp.  The sentiment is from A Jillian Vance Design and was attached to the sheer ribbon with a pear pin.

Sure hope you can join us for the challenge.  And, I sure hope this warm weather continues.

Make it a great day.

Prayers for Ohio State.  #buckeyestrong

Time for me to kick Christmas card production into high gear.

Here's a card I made using the stamp set "Candles of Christmas" from A Jillian Vance Design.

You can read all about it on the AJVD blog today.

Here's to a great week.  Not gonna top this past Saturday though.  I promise you that.  ;-)

Minnie's Christmas Lights

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, Christmas
Time for another Fab Friday!  Fridays are pretty fabulous, aren't they?

This digital image from Tiddly Inks makes me smile.  It is called "Minnie's Christmas Lights".  I printed it onto X-Press It cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  Some white highlights are compliments of a white Prismacolor pencil and/or a white gel pen.  Pairing the sentiment from A Jillian Vance Design with this image cracks me up, as Minnie looks anything but calm.  She sure is bright though.  Look...the lights aren't even plugged in and they are as bright as can be.

Make sure you visit the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog today for some more Fab Friday inspiration from the Design Team.  There's a little something for everyone.

Sweet Christmas Dreams

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Christmas, candy cane, Copic markers
My first Christmas card of the year!  (I must say goodbye to Halloween, which makes me kinda of sad).

Such a sweet little digital image from Tiddly Inks graces this card.  It is called "Lilli Claire - Sweet Christmas Dreams".  I printed her onto X-Press It cardstock and onto masking film.  I put the mask over the image, and added a snow mask, and proceeded to sponge the background with Mama Elephant Mojito Pigment ink, which I think is the perfect "grinch green" ink.  I carefully removed the mask and colored the sweet image with Copic markers.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and is from Hero Arts.  Small flurries of snow are merely little dots of Copic White.

And there you have it.  Now, go over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.  It is Fab Friday, don't you know?!  Such GORGEOUS creations again by the talented design team.
