Brighter Days Ahead

The only good thing about suffering through a nasty sinus infection during a nice springlike weekend is the only thing you can really do is make a card. That's what I did.

This adorable bear image is a digital stamp from Wink Wink Ink. Right now, it is available for free. I couldn't resist it.

I colored the image with Copic markers after printing it on Georgia Pacific cardstock. I was drawn to using bright colors, inspired by the sunshine outside. After coloring the image, I painted the bear's rain gear with Diamond Glaze to give it some extra shine. The umbrella was made with my Cricut. Patterned paper, colored cardstock, and dew drops were also used to create this card.

The inside sentiment reads, "Gray skies are going to clear up," as that is the lyric that kept running through my head as I made this brightly colored card. And, hopefully, my stuffed-up head will clear up soon.

Digital Doxie

Now that I'm on the digital bandwagon so to speak, as soon as I saw this adorable dachshund image from Wink Wink Ink I absolutely had to have it. And with digital images, that is pretty immediate.

This dachshund image was printed on Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The hearts were cut using the Cricut using various cardstock. Patterned paper, bone clip and ribbon were also used to complete this card.

This Valentine was signed by my dachshund Sloopy and given to her babysitter.
