Hello Sunshine

I was so honored and delighted when A Jillian Vance Design ask me to guest design using their new "Hello Sunshine Stamp Set".  Perhaps Jillian knew I had a weakness for sunflowers as they are so bright and bold and they just make me smile.

Well, let's just say, this set rocks!  I had such a great time creating with this set.  Not only are there great images to use, but the sentiments are just awesome and there is such a variety.

Let me share the cards that I made using Hello Sunshine:

Stamps:  A Jillian Vance Design "Hello Sunshine"
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Onyx Black
Paper:  X-Press It, black cardstock, American Crafts
Accessories: Copic markers, detailed scissors, Pop-Dots

Stamps:  A Jillian Vance Design "Hello Sunshine"
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Onyx Black
Paper:  X-Press It, black cardstock, kraft
Accessories: Copic markers, ribbon

Stamps:  A Jillian Vance Design "Hello Sunshine"; A Jillian Vance "Sunset Swirl Background Builder"

Who knew one little stamp set could have so many possibilities?!  I had a blast creating with it!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.  And a VERY SPECIAL THANKS to everyone at A Jillian Vance for giving me this honor.  It was a pleasure!

Thrilled to be the Guest Designer, Just Bee-Cause

I was absolutely delighted when Jenny Gropp of Our Creative Corner asked if I'd like to be guest designer for this week's sketch challenge. Thank you so much, Jenny, for this opportunity. I had so much fun.

Decisions, decisions with this sketch. I was really in the mood to color a new bee stamp I picked up earlier this summer from Stamps Happen. The problem was, the stamp had three bees on it, and I needed to fit the image in the oval. I then remembered my recent purchase of a Memento ink marker, which allowed me to directly ink one of the three bees with the marker, and stamped the one bee into the Neenah Solar crest oval shape cut from Nestabilities.. Problem-solved. Cropping, if you will.

I then proceeded to color this adorable little bee with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. Patterned paper, colored cardstock, brads on the bee's antennae, computer-generated sentiment, and some flower embellishments were also used to complete this card.

I had possession of this card for about three or four hours, and then needed to use it. I'm thinking I'll be making some more "Just Bee-cause" cards, bee-cause you never know when you might need an all-purpose card.

Thanks for the great sketch challenge. I can't wait to see what everyone else creates!
