Tennis Ball

Jessica Lynn Originals, Kecia Waters, dachshund, Copic markers

This card features an adorable dachshund image with a tennis ball.  It is an oldie from Jessica Lynn Originals.  I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I paired this image with a sentiment from Gerda Steiner Designs.

This card served as this year's Father's Day card to my Dad.  My Dad has a tennis ball that Sloopy desperately wants but cannot have.  Mind you, there are other tennis balls for her.  But she wants the one my Dad uses for exercising his hands.

He loved the card.  He seemed to get a kick out of it.

Hungry Hound

James Horvath, Kecia Waters, dog, Copic markers
This is the card I gave to my Dad for Father's Day.  It features a now-not-available digital image from the no-longer Squigglefly called "Hungry Hound" by James Horvath.  I printed it onto X-Press It cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  I punched three little hearts, colored them with Copics and added some Glossy Accents.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.

This card looks like Sloopy begging for food from my Dad.  He really enjoys feeding her.

Father's Day Cod

Hambo Stamps, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, Father's Day
I am delighted to be one of the June guest designers for the color challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

My submission for this week is a card that features a digital image and sentiment from Hambo Stamps called "Snorkel Boy".  I printed it onto X-Press It  and colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment also comes with the set.  Some Glossy Accents highlight the mask, and some crystal bubbles add some more bubble action to the underwater scene.

Hope you can join us for the challenge this week at Splitcoaststampers.

Classic Chevy

Repeat Impressions Rock Star, Joy Hadden, challenged us with a Designer's Choice Challenge.  She wanted us to create a masculine card.  Perfect timing for Father's Day, I say.

For my card, I stamped the Repeat Impressions image of "Chevy" (9118-K) onto glossy white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  Also, onto the glossy white cardstock, I stamped the Repeat Impressions sentiment "Classic" (9110-G) with Versafine Onyx Black.  I cut the panel with a Nestabilities die and framed it with black cardstock.  I added a four silver brads to the corners.

They layout is comprised of black cardstock and patterned paper from Jillibean Soup.  Baker's Twine put the finishing touches on this card.

Bacon Bit Debut

Last week, it was announced on the Hambo Stamps blog, Talk to the Ham, that I am now an official Bacon Bit. I am beyond thrilled to be joining this talented design team. Hambo Stamps are so adorable and humorous. They totally crack me up. I look forward to laughing all the way through my term.

For my first project, I am joining this week's Hoedown Challenge.  Check it out!  I hope you can play along too!  You just may become Queen of the Hoedown, or win Best of the Show.  Check out the Hoedown Challenge blog for all of the details.

For my card, I printed the Hambo digital image of "Snorkel Boy" onto X-Press It cardstock. I used a Nestabilities circle die to cut the main image panel, using the out-of-the-box technique. I colored the image with Copic markers and paper pierced around the circle. I applied some Diamond Glaze onto the mask to give it some shine. I colored the cod with Copic markers and cut around the image with my Cutterbee scissors. The hilarious sentiment is also from Hambo Stamps. The large panel of this card is from Best Creation Inc patterned paper. I paper pierced this panel as well. A sheer blue ribbon complete this card, along with a few drops of Stickles.

Make sure you check out the projects from the other Bacon Bits!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!

Rubbernecker Father's Day Hop

Welcome to Rubbernecker's Father's Day Hop! So glad you stopped by!

The Stampin' Sisterhood is getting ready for Father's Day (which will be here before you know it) with some great masculine creations using Rubbernecker Stamps.

Make sure you visit each sister's blog and leave some love, and then return to the Stampin' Sisterhood blog to let us know you've completed the hop route. You will be entered into a drawing to receive one free stamp set of your choice from Rubbernecker.

And, as a bonus we will draw an extra winner for a stamp set of their choice, just for sharing our hop on their Facebook page or blog!! After you have shared, just go back to the Stampin' Sisterhood Blog and let us know where you have shared our hop!

Both winners will be announced on April 28th on the Stampin' Sisterhood Blog.

Here's the hop route:

For my hop creation, I used the Rubbernecker image of  "Murray with Catch" (SKU: 562-02).  I stamped it with Marvy black dye onto X-_Press It cardstock and colored the image with Copic markers.  I then cut around the image with Cutter-bee scissors.  I attached some embroidery floss on the pole to appear as a fishing line.

Then, using the tutorial for Word Cards found on Splitcoast Stampers written by Dina Kowal, I constructed the text D-A-D using beige cardstock and patterned paper from Basic Grey.   I then adhered Murray to the second "D" of the card.

The Sweetest Father

As promised, I have a Father's Day card to share. I'll be giving this to my Dad, who just happens to be the sweetest Dad out there.

It felt so great just to sit back and color last night. It has been a while.

This adorable House Mouse image is from Stampabilities. I stamped it with Marvy Dye black ink onto Georgia Pacific cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers and with a little Prismacolor pencil highlights. I used patterned paper and black cardstock to create layers for the card, and added ribbon and a computer-generated sentiment.

Wishing you all a very sweet weekend. Now, I'm off to get a few gift cards to put inside the card.
