Psyker Killers - Confrontation Gang Final Additions

As I'm closing in on the end of the Confrontation project, I've decided to do some gap filling. This essentially means finishing off any WIP figures and making sure each gang is at least 10 models strong. After a bit of a stock-take, this meant that I needed to paint 3 more psykers, 3 more Helmawr, 2 more maniacs. Plus the Scavvy gang of course.

Step 1 was to get those psykers done. I had already converted one some time ago, but had conversions planned. So I got out the figures and the greenstuff and bashed them out.

Psyker Killers, Qu'est-ce Que C'est?

The only downside to the Marauder Confrontation figures is that there aren't enough of them. Four Ash Waste Nomads. Four Venators. Four Psykers. Four figures isn't enough to make a gang of anything (except possibly a rubbish gang that needs to rethink its recruitment policy!).

So on the heels of my four Marauder psykers and my converted leader, I wanted to add some more big-headed lads with mind powers.

The Mega Mind - Psyker Gang Leader

It was inevitable that after painting the four Confrontation psyker models I would want to add to the group. After all, four figures isn't a playable gang. ten or so certainly is. I've got a few WIP models that I will use to round out the gang, but I decided to focus on a leader first of all.

Five Parsecs From Home #6 - Psyker

The rag-tag crew of the battered merchant cruiser Psephonie.

The final(ish) chapter of this Five Parsecs from Home crew is the leader. I had originally intended the leader to be an Inquisitor, but I pulled out one of the brilliant Marauder Confrontation psykers and couldn't lose the thought of having a faintly ludicrous big-headed leader with a flamboyant fur-trimmed cloak!

Rogue Quest Level 8: The Magic User - Dwight Jelton

Last week in our ongoing 'Rogue Quest' project, JB posted a very nice looking barbarian. His interpretation played up to the archetype really nicely. For my fourth member of my adventuring party, I wanted to get my magic user sorted. JB has already visited the magic user archetype with his creepy blue-eyed psyker, and I confess I've ploughed the same furrow by selecting a 40k psyker figure.

It was about time that I painted up one of the Marauder Confrontation Psyker gangers, so this seemed like the ideal opportunity. I selected my favourite of the four (third from left in the image below).
