Elsewhere for 8 Minutes is the debut album by Australian band Something for Kate was released in 1997. The band recorded the album at York St Studios in NZ with producer Brian Paulson. The single, "Captain (Million Miles An Hour)" preceded the album's July release, receiving heavy airplay on the Triple J radio network and making it to #39 in the station's Hottest 100 for the year. Three other singles were released: "Prick" "Working Against Me" and "Roll Credit".

‘Cigarettes and Suitcases’ is the first single to be lifted from Something For Kate’s fifth studio album, recorded with producer/engineer Brad Wood (Liz Phair, Pete Yorn, Tortoise)  released in July 2006. Reflecting a new rawness and urgency to SFK’s sound B-sides include new track ‘The Actor Makes His Move’, a cover of Echo and The Bunnymen’s classic ‘Killing Moon’ and a live version of ‘Prick’, taken from the band’s anniversary show at The Prince of Wales in Melbourne in 2004.  Thanks to Sunny.

Something For Kate - 1996 - The Answer To Both Your Questions FLAC

....The Answer to Both Your Questions is a 1996 EP by Something for Kate. The album reportedly title came from the bands' frontman Paul Dempsey asking a friend for suggestions for what to name the EP. His response was, "The answer to both your questions is 'Porn'". Although Dempsey didn't take this advice, he thought the answer was "a good title".

Something for Kate is a rock band from Melbourne, Australia, led by songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Paul Dempsey. The band was formed in 1994 and signed to the Murmur record label a year later when its three members were aged only 19. They have released six studio albums, two of which have topped Australia's ARIA Charts, with three others reaching the top 10.

Monsters was the first single released from Something for Kate’s third album, ‘Echolalia’ and charted at #15
