Moruga Beach, Trinidad And Tobago

This I believe was my first written & stamped postcard from T&T :) The stamps show the Channel-billed Toucan, native to Trinidad and most of tropical South America. I think toucans are just so cool! And subsequently I loove these stamps, thank you Eshara :))

La Brea Pitch Lake, Trinidad And Tobago

 

The Pitch Lake is found in southwest Trinidad in the village of La Brea. The lake measures approximately one hundred acres and is estimated to be 76 metres deep in the centre. It holds about ten million tons of pitch - its the largest natural deposit of asphalt in the world.

La Brea pitch lake is one of the three tentative Unesco sites of Trinidad and Tobago, I am really thankful to Nalini for sending it :))

American Flamingo, Trinidad And Tobago

Beautiful flamingo, thank you Nalini for the card and pretty stamp :))

There are six species of flamingos, two in the Old World and four in the New World. The most widespread is the Greater Flamingo, which can even be seen in many southern Europe countries! A fact not known to me until now (thank you again postcrossing for teaching me things :)) I wish they'd decide to fly across from Italy heh.

Map Of Trinidad

Trinidad is the bigger of the two island consisting the Caribbean island nation of Trinidad And Tobago. Country's pet-name is Rainbow Island because of its diverse cultural influences, and is only 11 kilometres away from the south american mainland i.e. Venezuela.
