AJ is a big fan of water. He loves to take baths and get wet and always wants to play with water.
Naturally the water table is a perfect fit.
We had cousins come to visit during the month and the kids enjoyed playing at Grandma's together.
After Sunday dinner at Grandma's.
It didn't take me long to remember what it is like having a 2 year old in the house. My house may never be clean again. . .
AJ likes to wear flip flops, specifically Jenna's flip flops.
Say Cheese!
AJ has also discovered bikes and other forms of kid transportation and is definitely a fan.
Here he is in his first few days of trying to figure out the balance bike. He now rides his balance bike like a boss. It's his favorite thing to do.
July was hot and we spent a lot of time at home so we got a little pool for the boys.
Ah, AJ's 2 great loves, his bike and Jenna's flip flops
On July 14th I went with Britton, Jenna and Korinne to SLC for the MoTab's Pioneer concert. We met up with Grandma and Grandpa, Tiffany and Abigail and had dinner that the City Creek food court before the concert.
The concert was awesome. Sometimes I wish we lived a bit closer so we could attend more events.
Saturday, July 15th was a special day for our family, AJ was sealed to us forever in the Logan temple.
Coming out the "bride and groom" door at the temple.
Although we didn't attend the 24th of July parade in SLC we did go and see all of the floats earlier in the week. Here are our Patriot campers in front of a very patriotic float.
Aunt Tiffany had plenty of activities for the girls to do when they weren't at Patriot camp. She even made "Cousin Camp" T-shirts for them to wear during their week together.
Taylor and Jen and their kids Will and June were also around for parts of July and August. Jameson loved having them around to play with. He also got to go on a lot of adventures with Will in June.
We left early on Friday the 21st for a family reunion for Adam's side of the family outside of Veio. It was the same venue that worked so well for us last year. Each family had their own cabin and then we had the use of a large pavilion to do dinner and other activities together.
The pond is a favorite with the teenagers and little kids alike.
Adam took most of the pictures from the reunion, so I'll need to get them from him to finish this part of the entry.
Cousin McKaid's "missionary opportunity to speak" was the following Sunday so we were able to attend the meeting and visit with family for one more day. AJ met another young man from Ethiopia who spoke Amharic so they got to hang out and dance to Ethiopian music
Much to my chagrin AJ absolutely LOVES dogs. If there is a dog in the area, AJ will find it and try and stay as close as possible.
On the last Sunday in July we attended cousin Braiden's missionary homecoming talk. With AJ's temple sealing and the family reunion and then a missionary homecoming we got to see Adam's side of the family 3 weeks in a row, which is definitely a record since we all live so far apart. July was a busy and crazy month and we packed a lot in. I know I forgot about a few things and need to pictures for others, but I also know that I need to get something posted because of course, something is better than nothing. 😀
