June Haps

The fathers and sons camp out was on the last day of school this year. Britton couldn't go and it was cold and wet so Adam decided to have a firepit in the circle with Jameson and AJ and then sleep on the floor of their room to simulate a camp out so they didn't actually have to go to one. 😜 Yeah, we're pretty hardcore when it comes to camping, especially when it is wet and cold. The boys were happy so that is all that matters.

Jenna was stretching and AJ didn't want to be left out.  AJ doesn't like to be left out of ANYTHING!

The boys in their new blue light blocking glasses. The loved them for about 2 days and now it is a struggle to get them to wear them while watching a screen.

AJ makes up his own rules in life. When he doesn't have the upper body strength to successfully cross Monkey bars its not a problem, he'll just climb across the top. Either way he will get where he wants to go.

Summer means that we've had a LOT of forts built in our house. . .now if we could just get the boys to clean them up. . .

Jenna went to California with her Ballroom team the 2nd week of June.  They performed at both Universal Studios and Disneyland and had a fantastic time!

Britton ran Ragnar again this year with his high school team.  He stepped in at the last minute and ran the toughest 3 legs for another runner who was injured. They had a few botched hand-offs which cost them 1 1/2 hrs of time, but if it weren't for that they were pretty sure they would have beat their time from last year.

I made a quick trip to China this last week to help Jen and the kids fly back to America for the summer.  I decided to try teaching classes from another location to see if I could do it without any problems. I only scheduled 5 classes just to see how it would go and set up my little portable classroom in Taylor's guest room.

Everything worked out fine so now I know I can teach from remote locations when I need to.  Will and June enjoyed watching me teach from the other room.  Apparently I was very entertaining.

Before I knew it it was time to go back to the airport.  Taylor helped us load the luggage.

We had to take 2 cars to the airport because we had so much luggage.

While I was gone Britton participated in a leadership conference at USU for high school student government officers in the state. He described it as EFY on steroids since every single student in attendance was very outgoing and popular enough at their high school to get elected to office. The enthusiasm and support was off the charts and Britton LOVED every minute of it.

The video quality isn't great, but this is a dance all of the Ridgeline officers put together that was very well received. Britton was in the back left corner.

Jenna, Korinne, Jameson and AJ were thrilled to have their Pennsylvania cousins in town this week.

It's always fun to see cousins we don't get to see very often. Summer is off to a great start!
