Over the Rainbow Party by Jenn

Hi friends, Jenn here! My oldest daughter is about to turn 7 and has asked for a bright colorful rainbow unicorn party, so today I will be sharing some fun ideas that are sure to put a great big smile on your face!

Yesterday I shared my planner pages that had lots of details about my daughter's birthday.  Today I am sharing lots of things that I created for the party.  Ready for inspiration?  Let's go!

First up lets talk about the invitations... I used a plain white cardstock and stamped the star bunting and celebrate from the birthday planner stamps in clear embossing ink then embossed with white. I noticed I had the exact number of colors in the rainbow as stars so I used the color in Le Plume markers and colored them onto a a clear acrylic stamp block and used them like watercolor with my water brush. At the bottom I added the same colors over the embossed celebrate words to make the words pop off the page and also bring more color to the invite.

I really wanted to create treat bags or favor bags for the party....I used the glassine bags and filled them with colorful skittles and tied a little bakers twine around them with a yellow scalloped circle with the words Rainbow seeds. That was it...super simple, cute and will be fun to display.

I hope I have sparked a little creativity and inspiration in you all. I love seeing what you create with the beautiful SRM sticker products so please share using #srmstickers on instagram and Facebook....looking forward to seeing what you all create!

Then she created a card, again using the Take 2 Graduation stickers including some of the borders that are included on this sticker.

What a fun and fabulous ensemble for a graduation party.  You can always add your school colors to this project by using colored cardstock or twine.

Happy New Year by Roberta

With some SRM New Year's stickers and an invitation sticker Roberta Rosi made an invitation , a decorative flag and a party favor for a New Year's Eve dinner.

Roberta used white and ivory card stock glittered gold paper and some black for the invitation and the flag.

In the tube, she put magical sparklers and some confetti to help celebrate the arrival of the new year.  She decorated the tube simply with one sticker and some twine.

Using a blank "You're Invited" sticker, Roberta mounted it on white card stock and tucked it into a pocket, added a touch of glitter paper and twine.

New Year's Party by Angi

Here's a really fun idea for a New Year's celebration for kids or teens from Angi Barrs.  Instead of a New Year's Eve party, Angi suggests a daytime celebration.

Here's how it works:

New Year's Eve is not only for adults.
How about doing something fun for the kiddos & teens in your life?

Throw them a "Noon Year's Eve Party"!!!!

We'll need an official invitation, of course!

Start the countdown, grab your fave snacks, turn up the music, and set a fun and festive table.

You can use real glasses for teens and plastic ones for the smaller kiddos.

Place popcorn, candy, or sparkling apple cider in the glasses.

Birthday Party by Corrie

Corrie Jones really knows how to throw a birthday party.  She decided that it was time for a birthday party and she had so much fun with this one.  And her girls thought it was a special treat afterwards, like she just knew they were in need of a spontaneous birthday party!  What a great idea!

Here's the party!  First you need the invites.  That's easy with SRM's new Stickers by the Dozen Birthday Birdie.  Corrie loves this new Birthday Birdie designs as they are so cute and whimsical.  She created them using cardstock and mist.  Adorable!

Then she created the cupcakes with Birthday Birdie Toppers using SRM's Stickers by the Dozen...

 Favors in SRM Glassine Bags, decorated with Labels by the Dozen...

Drink jars with decorated straws complete with a mini sticker sentiment....

Party hats decorated with Labels by the Dozen Birthday Birdie design...

Put them all together and you have a party!  YAY!

Thanks Corrie for all the inspiration.  How totally fun!
And thank you Corrie for all the beautiful projects you have contributed to the SRM Blog over the past year and one-half.  I am in awe of your talent.

Invitations by Virginia

We all know that Virginia Lu loves to combine stickers and rubber stamping.  A true blue rubber stamper, SRM Stickers made their way into Virginia's heart about 3 years ago and there's been no turning back!

Today Virginia shares with us a set of 4 one-layer stamped and stickered invitations that are great for any occasion. She used SRM's You're Invited clear sticker.

 Virginia took a variety of colored card stocks, stamped the darling image called "Children at the Table" by Hero Arts and then mounted her clear sticker.  Love how she cut the "you're invited" and mounted it on a white cardstock banner. So much fun!  Just click on the photos to see larger images.

So for what occasion would you make these invites?  Perfect for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Birthday, Anniversary, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas or just because.

Be sure to join us tomorrow when a very special guest designer, Julie Campbell, drops by to share her craftiness.  You won't want to miss Julie's beautiful work,  plus there's a GIVEAWAY!

It's a Party!

Hello and welcome back! Did you know SRM carries everything you need to customize your own party invitations, favors, banners, etc.? I recently assembled my daughter's party items using gobs of stickers. Roxy is turning eight soon and hosting her first slumber party. When I asked what kind of theme she wanted for her party she replied, "Just make it colorful!".

I started by using SRM's "Party in a Bag" birthday theme. The kit contains four invitations, card bases, envelopes, and tubes along with a sheet of Birthday Borders. I created the invitations by mixing and matching colorful embossed cardstock, and matting the invitation stickers. I decorated the envelopes with border stickers.

I purchased plain $1 notebooks and dressed them up as party favors;

I decorated Glassine Bags using We've Got Your Sticker Plus to hold handmade hair bows as more party favors;

The cupcake toppers were a breeze using the leftover stickers from the Birthday Quick Card Stickers I used for the notebooks and Labels by the Dozen.

I filled tubes with candy and used the birthday borders from the Party in a Bag to decorate them. I tagged them using Labels by the Dozen and Twine;

Interested in creating your own party - it's easier than you think with SRM to help!

Thanksgiving by Valerie

Valerie Mangan took her Thanksgiving project assignment to new heights with a lovely assortment of holiday decorations, dinner invitations, a centerpiece, and place cards. Valerie says, "Thanksgiving is always a big deal in our house and we usually feed a group of about 10-15. I put my stash of SRM Stickers to work to make these fun Thanksgiving feast decorations."

"For the goody bag, I used Labels by The Dozen and 'Quick Card' stickers to embellish the cardstock insert. It holds a packet of mulling spices and cinnamon sticks in an embellished tube. (Simmered in a pot, these items will make a house smell amazing!)"

"The centerpiece is a simple cylindrical canning jar covered with patterned paper." Love all the festive banners!

"For my invitation, I embossed the turkey and 'Happy Thanksgiving' at the bottom. A 'You're Invited' sticker serves as the detail area and it's embellished with some 'Express Yourself' and 'Quick Card' stickers."

"The place card is folded with a little ledge area to hold the name."

"Inside the card is a dated, lined journaling area where my guest can write something they are thankful for this year. I hope to save these all in an album."

What a wonderful way to add a homemade touch to the holiday. You can see our Thanksgiving products HERE. Pick up your Thanksgiving and Christmas stickers today!
