Vegas Selfie Scrapbook Layout by Angie

Today we introduce you to Angie Pond and share with you a wonderful layout she created.  Here's a bit about Angie in her own words:

I'm Angie Pond from Princeton, North Carolina. I've been married to my high school sweetheart for almost 20 years. We have two amazing sons, one ornery cat and a cute but mischievous dog! I'm also blessed to be an aunt to the worlds most adorable brother and sister duo! I enjoy scrapbooking, taking pictures, traveling, reading and drinking coffee on my front porch!

----------------

Hello SRM friends! Angie here with you today to share a scrapbook layout. I'm so honored to be on this amazing team and to be able to share all of  the fun products with you.

I created this scrapbook layout using the amazing flower stamps from the Just Believe stamp set. Yes, that stamp set is technically a faith stamp set but SRM's products are so versatile that you can use them on many different projects!

I stamped the flowers and the cute butterflies with archival ink. I used archival ink because I knew I wanted to watercolor the flowers and the butterflies using the watercolor in markers and pencils. I just love how easily the colors blended when I applied a little water.  After I had colored the flowers and butterflies, I hand cut them and created a beautiful border using the flowers.

I added the butterflies above my picture and hand stitched the flight paths of them as well.

I hope you enjoyed my scrapbook layout and that you will use SRM's products in new and different ways.

By His Wounds by Karen

Hello!  Karen here today to share something special with you for this Easter season.

As we approach Easter, I wanted to have a visual reminder for my family to help us focus on the sacrifice of Christ on our behalf. This verse in the Old Testament, which points to Christ, came to mind.

"But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we  are healed."
Isaiah 53:5

I wanted to keep it simple and meaningful, so I just grabbed a few supplies. I started with some simple lettering using my black LePen on a sheet of watercolor paper. I lightly drew a few guide lines to keep my lettering straight. These were erased before applying any color.

I started with bit of light purple shading over the lettering with my LePlume marker and then added some stamped borders. Then I decided to add more color with my markers using a plastic baggie, markers, water, and this "smooshing" techniqe (see video tutorial here).

After a bit more color, a dotted border stamp, and a quick trim, I simply attached it onto a clipboard for display. It reminds us that Jesus loved us so much that He willingly suffered on our behalf to make the full payment for our sins. By His wounds we are healed! On Easter Sunday we will celebrate His victory over sin, death, and Satan. Amen!
A blessed Easter to each of you.

Brush Lettering Bookmarks by Christine

Hello!  Christine here sharing something I made.  Last week as I was doing our homeschool routine with the kids, I realized I needed some bookmarks to help me keep track of where we were at in books.  Why not make those bookmarks inspirational!?! And why not make them myself and have fun doing it!?!  That is of course where SRM came in!  I combined a couple of the new Marker Sets and Bible Journaling stamps to create some lovely bookmarks!

I created a video showing how I made a couple of these bookmarks!

I don't talk too much about how to do the brush lettering in the video but Susan has a great video that she recently created showcasing that!

Let's take a closer look at the bookmarks I made:

This first one uses the stamp set Amazing Grace and focuses on the verse Psalm 46:10 and the flowers come from Just Believe.

This one uses an older stamp set Words of Faith and focuses on Psalm 107:1 - the butterfly stamp comes from Just Believe and the little flower comes from Amazing Grace.

Everything on this bookmark comes from the Amazing Grace stamp set and it focuses on Matthew 28:20.

Last up I used the Trust in the Lord stamp set and focuses on 1 Thessalonians 5:18

These are going to be great reminders as I go about my day to day work!
