Love is Patient by Michele

Good morning! Michele here with a card using the new Bible Margin's Love stamp set
I truly love this verse......there is so much truth to these words.

I used a stencil to create a soft wood grain texture to the background.
I stamped directly over it using black ink and my Mini Misti.  I stamped it 3 times to get a crisp, black impression. I added a bit of color using my Copic markers.

I added a couple of strips of blue card stock and added cream colored twine and a couple of pink posies. Lastly, I added a few pink gems scattered about the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Faith Card by Michele

Good morning friends! Michele here with a card using the new Bible Margin's Love stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed it in gold.  I added a bit of color to the hearts with Copic Markers.  I inked up the panel with a bit of soft blue and pink.  I went a bit glitter crazy and added it to the edges of my sentiment.

The card itself was a cut from Silhouette.  I added more glitter to it and pink gemstones. I love how soft and feminine it turned out.

Thank you for spending a bit of time with me today!

Journey with Jesus by Jenn

Hey Jenn here, back with a bible journaling page using some bible journaling stamps, markers, stickers and twine. I just returned a few weeks ago from a life changing bible journaling retreat in Oklahoma. The theme of the retreat was journey. One of the scriptures used during our devotional time was
Judges 18:6 "Go in peace. The journey on which you go is under the eye of the Lord."

I  started this page by using the patterned arrows and colored in a single row with the green marker, creating a faux washi border strip. Then I used a large set of alpha stickers for the word 'go'. I used the Pray Journal Repeat set for the banner, which I once again used a yellow marker to stamp. Once dry I added the word 'journey' with the tiny alpha in that stamp set. I created a tip in using a few die cut pieces and ephemera to hide and create more space to journal my thoughts and prayers. I love using the distressed clear 2018 sticker to notate the year I journaled this page, it totally fit the feel I was going for. Finally I added a fun cluster of tabs and tags using some bakers twine and washi around the page.

Sometimes I need the reminder to step out. Going to this retreat was a little scary. It was my very first, I knew no one and had no idea of what to expect and to top it all off I am kinda introverted. However I knew my Father wanted me to attend so I stepped out in faith believing that he would use this as a part of my journey. I was blessed with new friends, encouraging words and some serious 'God moments'.

Father, I have heard you loud and clear.... I need to go! Give me peace as i continue to search you out as i journey on the path you set out for me. Let me rest in the peace that my journey is not a mystery to you. May my faith grow and strengthen my relationship with you. Amen!!

Hugs and prayers,
Jenn (@creativegurl85)

Vinyl Bible Cover by Christine

Hi there SRM Fans! Christine joining you today with a an idea for how to cover your Bible! I recently picked up a Bible with just a thick cardstock cover on it.  It doesn't quite fit into a fabric cover but I knew that I wanted to do something to make it a little more sturdy.  As I considered my options I decided some vinyl would be a great way to personalize it and strengthen it!

I took a very traditional approach to covering this, pretty similar to how you cover school books.  I did cover just the front and just the back.  Then I added on the binding in the gold vinyl. Next it was time to decorate, I contemplated adding flowers, lots of crosses, and all sorts of other artistic items.

I opted to add a quote to my cover.  After digging thru my options I chose this one from Jillibean Soup and cut it out in the gold vinyl.  Then I used transfer tape to transfer it onto the cover.  I also cut out a cross with a metal die. As you can see the binding coordinates perfectly with the quote!

All in this probably took me just under 30 minutes - the actual covering was quick and easy!  Adding the quote required a little more time so that I didn't mess it up!

One thing that I like about this is that I can easily change it out later by just adding a new cover. If you've got a Bible that could use a new cover or a stronger cover, why not give vinyl a try?

Bible Bubbles Card by Michele

Good morning! Michele here with a fun Bible Bubble card! This is one of SRM's new sets and I think it is so cute! I used a stencil and inks to create a subtle background.  I stamped each bubble sentiment in black ink and gave it a bit of depth with gray Copic markers.

I also colored the hearts with red Copic markers.  I added glossy accents to the hearts and each of the bubbles for dimension.

For a few last minute touches, I added a few rhinestones and red twine to bring out the red in the hearts.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Faith Bookmarks by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here.
Today, I'm sharing some simple faith bookmarks with you.

I started with making my bookmark by using a die and chose a simple patterned paper to use with it. After I used my die once more with regular cardstock and then adhered the two papers together.

Once done, I stamped on my faith sentiments using a dark grey ink. Then I added some twine and a wooden button at the end. Easy peasy, right?!...

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Personalized Bible Cover by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here with you today to share how I used SRM vinyl to create a personalized Bible Cover. My journaling Bible has lots of paint, vinyl, stamps, and stickers on the inside for personalization, so I figured, why not use some vinyl to make the outside personalized for me, too?

I used both black and gold vinyl for my cover. Besides vinyl, you'll also need some transfer tape and a way to cut your vinyl (I used a Silhouette Cameo, but any digital die cutting machine will work).

Make sure you wipe down the cover of your Bible before adding your vinyl. If it's well used like mine, you'll want to make sure you get those oils from your hands and bits of paint and ink wiped off as best you can.

You can do this on a smooth or textured cover in any color vinyl you'd like. I chose black and gold, because the binding of my Bible is black with gold details.

Chose a Bible verse that's personal to you (like a confirmation or wedding verse) or one that helps you remember why you spend time Bible journaling. What would you put on your personalized Bible cover?

Faith Cards by Melanie

Hello! Melanie here today and I am sharing a couple of cards I made using the new Bible Margins Love Clear stamps.

These stamps are wonderful for stamping in Bible margins or for bookmarks, too. I used a masking technique to just use a portion of the stamps for my cards. I used a small sticky note to cover the part of the stamp I wasn't going to put on the card. Then I inked the stamp. After removing the sticky note, I could stamp the portion with ink onto the paper.

By using the same basic overall design for both cards, I was able to complete them rather quickly. I varied the patterned papers and width of the strips.

The Sticker Stitches are probably my #1 go-to product by SRM. I use them all the time. For these cards, the dot stitch was a perfect way to anchor the sentiment banner to the card.

Wishing you a "LOVE"-ly day! :)

Textile Foil Cards & Video Using Laser Printer and Laminator by Karen

Hello!  Karen joining you today.  I've been having a great time discovering different ways to use the new textile foils from SRM. Today I'm sharing some of my favorites.

To make these cards, I found free online images and imported them into a (Word) document. There I resized them and recolored to make sure they would print out dark and black. I printed each image onto card stock using a laser (toner) printer. It is key that the image prints with toner ink (not an inkjet printer).

I then ran my image with foil covering it through my personal laminator. The heat of the laminator adhered the foil only to the printed image. After a short cooling off, I simply peeled the foil away to leave the shiny image.

I'll walk you through it in this process video. But I have to warn you, though, you may become addicted to this easy and quick foil application technique!

Thanks for watching - I hope you are inspired to use textile foil in your projects!

Bible Bubbles Bible Journaling Page and Process Video by Karen

The new Bible Bubbles faith stamp set is so cute and perfect for faith planners, cards, quick notes, and the margins of your Bible.

After putting down a thin layer of acrylic paint for some background color, I used several of the stamps on this page in the book of Joel.

Mirroring the stamps, I then drew a larger bubble for my journaling.

I really like how they look clustered together on my page.
The crosses featured on the page are from another new set called Bread of Life.
Watch this process video to see more of these stamp sets and how this page came together for me.

For this project, I used the following SRM products:

Light of the World by Christine

The new Bible Margins Stamps are so beautiful and just perfect for diving into your Bible Journaling!  Christine joining you today to show how I combined the Bible Margins stamps with a few more stamps in our line to create some colorful Bible Journaling!

I used Distress Oxides to create my background.  I like the milky look that they produce!  I just dabbed a sponge into the oxides and then spread them on my margin.  I dried between each layer so that they would maintain their own identity.  I then added my stamping - beginning with the Bible Margins - Light Set.

I used the cross from the Pray, Journal, Repeat Stamp Set as an accent around my Bible Verse.  I also drew a flourish to connect the top all the way to the bottom.  One of the things I enjoy most about this process is the freedom to experiment.

I had not previously used my white gel pen to highlight around black drawing or journaling but this was a good time to try it out.  It changes the look a lot and was a nice way to soften everything up a bit!

Run on over to the SRM Store and grab these new stamps - they will be a great addition to your Bible Journaling Collection!

Bible Journaling Stamp Layout by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here with you today. It's no secret that I love SRM's Bible journaling stamps. However, I usually use them in my Bible, and only occasionally on cards. I thought it would be fun to try something different with my stamps, so today I have a Bible Journaling Stamp layout to share with you.

I saw this "Every good and perfect gift" stamp from the new Bible Journaling Bible Margins Rejoice stamp set, and knew it would work beautifully on a layout.

I used ColorIn Watercolor pencils to color in the stamp in colors that coordinated with my matching paper. Placing the stamped image in between two photos really makes it pop as a focal point.

I'm super happy that I stepped outside my comfort zone and tried SRM's Bible Journaling stamps on something besides my Bible. Have you ever used SRM's Bible journaling stamps on a layout?

Reckless Love by Jenn

Hello lovelies, Jenn here! February is a month where we focus on love...the love we have for one another and the love our heavenly Father has for us. I was recently listening to a beautiful worship song called "Reckless Love" and the words sunk deep into my heart, and I knew instantly I needed to document this in my journaling Bible.

I used a new to me technique using paper heart doilies, and gelatos. I used a little washi tape to help hold the doilie in place while I used my finger to rub the gelato color into the paper and over the grooves of the doilie. I will warn you be super careful with how hard you rub the doilie I rubbed a little too hard and tore mine. To make the gelato a little more permanent and a little less likely to move around the page I spritzed it with water and left it to dry. I love the subtle look of the texture on the background of the page. I pulled out my Daily Devotion bible journaling stamps and stamped a few words and added a few simple wordfetti stickers. I wanted a few more visiable hearts on the page ...I used the Stickers by the dozen Valentine hearts and a strip of the I love you phrase under my marked verse.

Luke15:4-7 MSG "Suppose one of you had a hundred sheep and lost one. Wouldn't you leave the ninety-nee in the wilderness and go after the lost one until you found it? When found, you can be sure you would put it across you shoulders, rejoicing, and when you got home call in your friends and neighbors, saying, 'Celebrate with me! I've found my lost sheep!' Count on it- there's more joy in heaven over on sinner's rescued life than over ninety-nee good people in no need of rescue."

Our heavenly Father loves you and I so much and He is willing to do anything to save us! He is love, and it boggles my brain. I love the lyrics to the song "Reckless love"... "it chases me down, fights till I'm found, leaves the ninety-nine. I couldn't earn it, I don't deserve it, still you give yourself away. oh the overwhelming, never ending, reckless love of God." I pray that love envelopes you and fills you with awe and amazement. As you go through the month and even the year I hope you abide, walk, and dwell daily in God's wild love!

Bible Margin Stamps Gift Bags by Karen

SRM's new Bible Margin stamps aren't just for Bible journaling. I used a couple of margin stamps as part of a gift bag decoration - and they double as bookmarks!

I stamped the margins on white cardstock which I had watercolored a pretty background. I used watercolor pencils to add more detail to the images. Mounting it onto a piece of colored cardstock helps it stand out against the fun patterned paper bags, doily, and sticker stitches and sentiments.
By using a decorative clip to attach it to the bag, the recipient can easily remove it to use as a bookmark, too

For this project, I used:

Bible Margins Cards by Christine

The new Bible Margins stamps don't have to just be used in your Bible!  There's a huge variety of crafts you can do with these beautiful stamps! Christine joining you today to share a simple set of cards featuring the Bible Margins Stamp Sets.

I used for this set of 3, one stamp from each of the new Bible Margins Stamp Sets.

This is the Bible Margins Rejoice Set.  I simply stamped this with a Distress Oxide Ink and then used a sponge to go over the butterfly with the same ink.  I added some pretty patterned paper from Paper House Productions to each card.

This one features the Bible Margins Light Stamp Set.  I love the different icons included in this set to represent light!

Finally I used the Bible Margins Love set!  This is a beautiful set featuring verses that are great for a variety of occasions...but most definitely will work for those Valentines as well!

As you can see, these are not at all complicated cards but still turned out beautifully!  I love that these stamps just need a little bit of ink and paper to make them into a real treat!
