Planner Packing List by Jennifer

Hey all! Jenn here, with a fun packing list page inspiration for you all. I am very soon leaving for a fun retreat and thought this would be the perfect way to prepare and ensure *fingers crossed* that I don't forget anything.

To begin I used my Erin Condren life planner. If you are familiar with these planners prior to the full calendar spread is a blank page that I use for important events or trips happening in the month. In the past I have used the pages to plan birthday parties, Christmas gift list ideas and as a place to make packing lists. I started decorating the pages with a few of the amazing stickers from the SRM shop. For the four circles at the top I used them as areas to keep track of my must dos, carry on items, things to buy and things I don't want to forget. I used the Everyday planner stamp set icons and words with a simple black ink pad. The main body of the page I used as a giant packing list. I finished off by using a few of the words from the Daily Devotion stamp set, and a couple more stickers. This will be a great place for me to reference as I pack my bags for my retreat.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my post, I hope this gives you some ideas for how to use you SRM stickers, planner stamps and those blank pages in your planner.

Sermon Notes by Jenn

Hello friends! Jenn here... back to share how I like to use my planner to take sermon and podcast notes. During the week when I have downtime I really enjoy listening and watching sermons and podcasts...thus lots of notes. I started putting them all in my Happy Planner Faith edition so I could easily reference the notes and come back to them as possible Bible journaling entries.

I began by attaching large die cuts to the page with my tape runner. Then I pulled out my LePens ....these colors have me all kinds of heart eyes! I picked out three colors that fit with my overall color scheme. As important key points and main ideas were brought up I used my key and light bulb icon stamps to further pull out these thoughts. I journaled the main theme I took from the message using the tiny alpha and circles. To finish off the page I stamped a few words that fit with the theme of the page, added some washi and few stamped hearts.

I find myself more likely to pull out my notes if I find them appealing to look at, which in turn causes me to reflect more and dwell on the messages. I hope this encourages you take those crumpled notes out of your Bible and put them in a journal. This could be a great place to start Bible journaling if writing in a Bible makes you a little nervous.

Reckless Love by Jenn

Hello lovelies, Jenn here! February is a month where we focus on love...the love we have for one another and the love our heavenly Father has for us. I was recently listening to a beautiful worship song called "Reckless Love" and the words sunk deep into my heart, and I knew instantly I needed to document this in my journaling Bible.

I used a new to me technique using paper heart doilies, and gelatos. I used a little washi tape to help hold the doilie in place while I used my finger to rub the gelato color into the paper and over the grooves of the doilie. I will warn you be super careful with how hard you rub the doilie I rubbed a little too hard and tore mine. To make the gelato a little more permanent and a little less likely to move around the page I spritzed it with water and left it to dry. I love the subtle look of the texture on the background of the page. I pulled out my Daily Devotion bible journaling stamps and stamped a few words and added a few simple wordfetti stickers. I wanted a few more visiable hearts on the page ...I used the Stickers by the dozen Valentine hearts and a strip of the I love you phrase under my marked verse.

Luke15:4-7 MSG "Suppose one of you had a hundred sheep and lost one. Wouldn't you leave the ninety-nee in the wilderness and go after the lost one until you found it? When found, you can be sure you would put it across you shoulders, rejoicing, and when you got home call in your friends and neighbors, saying, 'Celebrate with me! I've found my lost sheep!' Count on it- there's more joy in heaven over on sinner's rescued life than over ninety-nee good people in no need of rescue."

Our heavenly Father loves you and I so much and He is willing to do anything to save us! He is love, and it boggles my brain. I love the lyrics to the song "Reckless love"... "it chases me down, fights till I'm found, leaves the ninety-nine. I couldn't earn it, I don't deserve it, still you give yourself away. oh the overwhelming, never ending, reckless love of God." I pray that love envelopes you and fills you with awe and amazement. As you go through the month and even the year I hope you abide, walk, and dwell daily in God's wild love!

Bible Journaling Worship & Praise by Karen

One of the main reason I Bible journal is because it gives me the time to meditate on specific words of scripture. While I am coloring or painting or stamping, I am repeating scripture in my mind and contemplating the meaning of these precious words. The creative process draws me in and allows me to linger longer in the Word.

My page today gave me the chance to target specific words and think about the many reasons to worship and praise our amazing God.

Psalm 29 is a psalm of worship and praise. It wasn't difficult to find many of the words used in this psalm in stamp form on SRM's two "wordfetti-style" faith stamp sets - Daily Devotion and Scripture Notes. These two sets contain multiple words that can be used in a variety of ways.

After lettering "worship" and coloring it in with marker and watercolor twists, I added several word stamps to emphasize some of the words in the Psalm. I also added a star stamp from another set, Child of God. I created the background using the watercolor twists and a water brush. Then, I added a few highlights with my white pen. I really like how this page turned out and am grateful for the time to worship and praise God through Bible journaling. Be blessed!

Count Your Blessings by Jennifer

Hello everyone, Jenn here! I am sharing a page I completed in my Bible during the Thanksgiving holiday week. I love looking back over the year on both Thanksgiving and New Years eve remembering all the many many blessings I have been given.

I love the clear stickers from SRM and I thought what better way than to use them in my Bible! What makes them so awesome is you can see text through the image...making it perfect for those concerned with covering Bible text. Before I began I knew I wanted to commemorate Thanksgiving with some festive leaves so I stamped leaves with StazOn ink. Once dry I colored them in with the Marvy ColorIn watercolor pencils. To intensify the color I went in with my water brush and activated the pigment from the pencils. This was such a fun relaxing time I was able to just sit and soak in the words God wanted to speak to me. I really took my time and journaled a lot and even included a prayer which I started with the Jesus stamp from the Daily Devotion Stamp set.

I hope and pray this reminds you to slow down during this busy chaotic holiday season and really count your blessings. Write them down in a journal or Bible and come back to this when you feel lost, defeated and overwhelmed. God is so very very good!

God Is... Bible Journaling by Christine

Have you checked out the books of the Bible stamps that SRM now carries?  I love them and wanted to use them on my Bible Journaling with a focused list.  Christine joining you today with a Bible Journaling piece titled "God Is…"

I combined a bunch of stamp sets to create this project including:

I really like the script font of the word "God" from the Child of God clear stamp so I was excited to use that over and over! I used the 24 Pc Water Color Pencils and a circle template to create my background.

By combining the New Testament and Old Testament stamps with the Today Tomorrow To Do Planner Stamps I was able to cite each verse that the different statements came from.  A really great solution for a person who doesn't love her handwriting ;).

What different stamps and techniques are you incorporating into your Bible Planning these days?
