I have lots of photos from the Fourth, and was going to combine them with some of the previous weeks' photos, but decided to go ahead and do two different posts, so the one on last night will come in a few days.
The first few photos are from June 26.
KJ and I love to play "Pony Boy" and "Trot, Trot to Boston" and such. I love it when he giggles and says, "Again!".
He still likes to help water.
We decided this can worked better than the other one he had.
The rest of the photos are from July 1, the day after KJ had corrective surgery on his right thumb, so that he will be able to straighten it. The condition would have caused pain as he grows if he hadn't had the surgery. I am thankful it all went well.
KJ called this a giant watermelon. This is one of the spots he sat while he ate a whole piece of whole wheat bread after having a few pinches off of my sandwich. I was surprised, because I didn't think he liked it. (In that box are some books and things on their way to my car to be donated somewhere.)
I had looked for a book about hospitals or doctors, but didn't see anything I wanted for KJ, so I got him a "Diego" doll and a set of Diego books. He and Grandpa enjoyed reading them.
Later, we went out and enjoyed spending more time together. The few photos Larry took were awful of me, so I didn't include those.
KJ really doesn't stay in one spot for very long at a time. He's a very busy boy.
I am not remembering the sequence of events of the day, but we evidently went in for awhile, and KJ came across his yellow boots we keep here. They are getting to be too small, but he wanted them on. I'm glad, because I got some cute photos of him in them before putting them away where he won't see them.
KJ likes to get up on chairs by himself.
We've been going for car rides in order for KJ to go to sleep. I go down side streets and look at people's gardens. I'll go slow, and look in the intersections to see who has flowers growing where I can see them. I don't go many places, so don't mind using some gas this way.
We are getting into some routines. KJ likes to color after he eats. He is talking more and more, and it's amazing to hear what he says!
We took him home that day, because their dog had surgery to remove some tumors, and his mom an dad didn't want to leave her home alone. I had shown him some photos and videos of dogs with those collars on. He didn't seem phased by it. Mom is giving him a popsicle here.
KJ, Grandpa and I are having so much fun being your grandparents! You are getting to be such a big boy!
