When I started this blog, I was aiming for posting weekly, and when I get caught up, maybe I will. For now, here is our January time with KJ.
The first photos are from a file on my iphoto called, "untitled event December 31, 2010 -January 10, 2011." Usually dates are split up and labeled if I don't get more than one day's of photos off of my card. I don't know why they didn't this time. KJ and Grandpa were looking at train videos, I think, while KJ was trying to wake up from a nap.
KJ's 3rd birthday was January 4. That's my dad's birthday too, so we celebrated both at my parents' house.
KJ's mom made the cake. Didn't she do an awesome job?
KJ enjoyed opening his presents and playing with them.
I love the looks on the guys' faces.
His favorite gifts were Thomas the Train related.
Fun was had by all!
I love this photo!
KJ did a good job figuring out how to work his lift.
KJ will have fun riding this outside when it's warm enough.
Great Aunt Sharon, my sister is telling KJ good-bye. He makes the sweetest expressions!
I didn't seem to get many photos with Great Uncle Otto, so I put this one of him and my sister. I like this photo.
Now, we are at January 15th, the day Mom, KJ, and I went to Omaha for a train expo. We had lots of fun, and KJ liked everything he saw.
This was our favorite vending area. Several purchases were made here.
There were lots of cool model trains set up.
We spent the most time at this hands on display.
I stood in line for the Thomas the Tank Engine ride, like the others around me did, and then called when I was almost to the front. I guess I didn't get a photo of the train, but did get a video of it.
After seeing how much KJ liked the wooden track, I bought one on ebay. It arrived in time for KJ to play with it the 22nd.
KJ still loves looking at train videos, mostly Thomas ones.
By the 29th, I had a few more tracks purchased. We have had lots of fun making different formations.
Putting them together is almost as fun as watching KJ play with his trains and listening to the fun things has the trains say.
I squeeze in my hugs in when I get a chance.
KJ, we had a fun January! You had a birthday, and now you are three years old. You are starting to not need naps. We are continuing to love hearing you talk. You amaze us with how many words you know! I am excited for spring to get here, and have you work with me in the gardens again.
Love and hugs,
Grandma
