We had a great day the first Saturday of November, but didn't get any photos taken.
November 12, my mom came over and played with CE while KJ and I went to our garden across the street. I started out pulling up the soaker hoses while he dug in the dirt. Then, we got involved with digging up the rest of the carrots. The rabbits had eaten down the ones on the other side of this fence, and the carrots were quite small. Those on the inside of the fence grew larger.
This is where the smaller ones were.
I asked KJ if he had a favorite carrot, and he chose this one right away. He did a good job pretending to eat the green part. He took this one home to eat tomorrow.
See?
Here's our crop:
We came in to see Grandma Mary after digging the carrots. She came over that day, because Papaw wasn't feeling well.
I can't remember what all you two talked about, but one of them was the alphabet, and another was about Diego, who you were holding.
A nice calm moment:
CE took a short nap while we were outside, but had awakened just before we came in.
KJ has certain things he wants to do while at our house. One of them is playing with Grandpa Larry.
It's fun to see CE's interest in toys and whatever else is in his reach.
CE and I had been sitting in the chair behind KJ, and he kept wiggling like he wanted down, so I helped him, and he ended up behind Brother, and kept talking to him, touching him, and looking to see what he was watching.
November 19, I served supper at Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach, so the boys didn't come over that weekend. The next photos were taken on Thanksgiving, which was Grandpa Larry's 60th birthday.
After Grandpa cleaned up the kitchen, we went to Grandma Mary's and Grandpa Bob's for dessert, including the birthday cake for Grandpa Larry that the guys' mom made.
On November 25th, I picked the boys up early, I'm thinking around 7 a.m. so Mom could go find some bargains.
Grandpa has a nice soft lap.
The next photos are from November 26, the day of our first snow of the year. We stopped at home before going to Grandpa Bob's and Grandma Mary's house to take in our groceries we had purchased on the way over. The rain was starting to turn into snow, and KJ tried to catch snowflakes in his mouth.
When we got to the great grandparents' house, the snow was starting to stick, and KJ really wanted to play outside, but we assured him Grandpa Larry was planning on playing with him when we got back to our house. I did have him come out with me to get the bags out of the car.
CE is sitting up very well now, and wants to make sure Grandma Sue is close by when Papaw is near. He is warming up to him, though.
The batteries in my camera have not been holding a charge for very long, and this day, I was not able to get many pictures.
When we got back here, I put new batteries in, and was able to take a few photos before the guys got out of the view of the door and windows.
Well, guys, it is Christmas season as I am writing this post. We look forward to seeing you experience the fun of the holidays. KJ will be four years old soon, and CE is at the age where he is doing new things all the time. We sure enjoy being your grandparents!
