Pictures of my Christmas elf

Well, this was going to be the picture that went out with our Christmas cards that I never made, so to all our friends and family, Merry Christmas. Sorry I've turned into such a slacker, but did you really need another picture of us when this blog has 5 million?

Here's Maggie with her Christmas present which we waited until last week to give her, which was about 3 weeks later than we wanted to, so I think we did pretty good. Unfortunately for Mags, I was in charge of buying this, not her dad, and so I bought the cheapest one available, and it will probably have fallen apart by Christmas.

A sleepy noodle.

The family at Thanksgiving.
In other news, a woman approached me today, chatted me up, and then tried to sell me a corset for what she called, "my post-baby belly." Which confirms the fact that I just look fat and not yet pregnant. I hate this stage.
Also, Maggie, bless her cute little heart, has started pitching full fledged toddler fits. She yells, holds her breath, and then flails around on the floor. I guess the terrible twos has started early. Right now she's having a meltdown because I told her "no" after hitting my belly. She's already started beating up her little sister...

Girly Stuff

We're having another girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so so so so so excited to have another girl because now she can wear all of Maggie's old clothes, and they can share a room when they're older, and we can all play barbies and Bernice's Beauty Shop!!!!!!! Poor Jonny.

Girly Item #2: Here are some pictures from the weekly Girl's Night I host at my house. We started getting together about a year ago to watch the Bachelor, and then we were addicted to the weekly night with no husbands or kiddies by the time the season ended. Which reminds me, I am VERY dissappointed in ABC's selection of Jake as the next bachelor. He is so cheezy and boring, the two worst qualities you can have in a man, in my opinion.

Ok, well this isn't that girly, but here are some pictures from a disco party we went to last weekend. The party was for Esther and Andy's birthdays, and Jessica seriously transformed a warehouse into a disco hall. Please notice that I am practicing my new modeling poses I've picked up from Kristina.

Here we are doing the Hustle, which we'd practiced at the previous Girl's Night.

My babies

Random question: Was anyone else absolutely freezing while pregnant? Okay, I am normally cold, but this is ridiculus. I'll turn up the thermostat to 76 (yes, I know I could be powering up an entire village in Uganda with the amount of energy we use, but I do recycle, so stop judging me). I'll put on sweats and wrap up in a blanket and still be shivering. It's not all day long - it seems to come in cold waves. Ok, well my babies from the last picture are trying to alert the entire neighborhood that I'm a terrible mother for sticking them outside, so I need to go regulate.

Halloween

This year, brace yourself, I made Maggie's costume. As in, I bought fabric and used a sewing machine. I know, shocking. And actually I really liked it and have decided that since I'm almost 30 which means I'm becoming ancient and boring, I've asked for a sewing machine for Christmas. What's happened to me?!? So anyways, Maggie was Pebbles and Jonny and I were Fred and Wilma Flinstone. And our friends the Cerseys were the Rubble family. Which let me now take this moment to explain that Kristina Cersey is a freaking model and always does perfect model poses in every picture I take with her which just accentuates my slumping and deer-in-the-headlights facial expression. After studying this group picture, from now on you'll see me standing with one foot in front of the other trying to squint my eyes so they don't do the deer thing.

Also, last month I went up to Kentucky to help my sister with poor little Tommy who recently broke his femur and is in a body cast and very miserable. He has to be in it for six weeks!!!

Here is Maggie and her cousin Hubert. They actually didn't get along that well as you can see in the picture. For some reason, Maggie hit Hubes whenever he came near her.

Noodle 2.0

Here's an ultrasound of the newest member of the Wood family. I'm nine weeks along, and the little peanut should be here around May 15th. We can't wait to meet him! I say "him" because both Jonny and I are convinced it's a boy. It's so different being pregnant a second time. The first time, I couldn't really picture the baby, so all I did was obsess about the changes going on in my body and I couldn't wait to start showing. Now, all I think about is having another sweet little person join our family that I know I'll love to pieces. I can't wait to meet him (or her. It's possible) and get to know their cute little personality. And I'm enjoying every minute of not showing yet cause I know what's about to come. And yes, we will have two babies under the age of two for a few months and the only reason I am writing this calmly is because Jonny has promised I can hire a maid.

Morning sickness sucks. I'd forgotten how much it sucks. Not even a couple weeks before I found out I was preggers I was hanging out with the Cerseys saying I missed being pregnant. What was I smoking? Morning sicknes + a wonderful little UTI = HELL. If anyone needs me, I'll be lying on my couch between the hours of 9am and 11pm. Watch out for the little baby crawling (yes, still crawling) around unsupervised destroying the house. My poor husband.

I'm lazy

That's the only reason I can think of for why I haven't blogged in forever. And I'm still feeling very lazy right now, so this post will mainly just be pics.

Back in August, we went camping with the Horsleys, Cerseys, and Shumways on the Horsleys' lake property. Major highlights of this trip:
* We were the first to get our tent up. I don't care what the picture Brindi took shows. It's wrong.
* Cerseys were the last. And the last to take down their tent I might add. :)
* Before we went camping, Jonny and I had a big disagreement about which baby backpack to bring. I had bought the cheapest one at Wal-mart for 20 bucks. Jonny had bought the most expensive one from REI for $130, which I wanted to return. I won. The Wal-mart backpack broke within 2 minutes of me putting it on.
* The main thing we did was have a big poker tournament, and Brindi cleaned house.
* Unfortunately the tournie lasted till three in the morning, and the babies all woke up when we went to bed. Maggie stood up in her pack-n-play and pointed at me and Jonny saying "Na-na" for literally two hours. It was rough.

Random picture of Maggie's cute little bum:

At the end of August, I went to go visit my BFF Tash up in New York. And it was freezing. Remind me never to live in New York. Sorry, Tash! She was FOUR kids, and it made me so excited to have more. They are adorable. Her oldest little boy, Mikey, was born to be a celebrity. Tash, this is the best picture of the kids, so sorry about your eyes being closed.

We went up to Palmyra and saw Joseph Smith's home:
And walked though the Sacred Grove. It was beautiful!

For labor day, we went with some friends and my parents to the Gwinnett Braves game. I love this picture because it shows Maggie in her prime. She's always pointing at things and then making declarations to them. She is such a cute little know-it-all already.

The noodle turns one

Our magpie turned 1 last week. We tried to battle the Georgia heat and throw her an outdoor wet and wild party. Thanks to all who turned out for the celebration. Maggie loved her new gifts.

Publix did an excellent job on the cake. Maybe Mags will get a homemade one next year. Made by our future maids.

Right in the middle of the party, Maggie decided to stand all by herself for the first time.

Post-party noodle.

The next day we decided to play dress-up and were an hour late to church because of it. Time well spent.

Why do I look so happy?

Because I'm at the American Idol concert.

And this little blob is my studmuffin Adam Lambert. The concert was so so so good. The only thing that sucked was having Adam go second-to-last instead of being the grand finale. Seriously, how in the world did he lose???

Me and the mother jammin.

Jonny couldn't get enough of Adam either.

The girls (mom, Kristina Cersey, me and Rachel Shumway). Those are some hot shirts. Well worth the $35. I would have paid triple that.

Then we stood smashed in between lots of stinky people for an hour and a half so we could get this guy's autograph:
You know you're jealous.
