The Woods go green

Jonny is home visiting and decided to make a garden in our yard. The fact that he unknowingly did this on Earth Day confirms that it is meant to be, despite my protests that he is just creating more yardwork for me and half of our yard is already a garden. And he has now instructed me that the pugs are no longer allowed in the yard because they'll ruin the garden. But it does look very nice :)

Here is my little worker bee taking a break on the couch. Which is covered with a blanket because of the pug hairs. He is out of commission today because for some reason he decided to dig the holes for all the flowers yesterday with his bare fingers and now they're sore and infected...My sweet little gardner.

Wood jocks

Well, I haven't written in a few weeks because I've been hiding in a dark cave hoping I didn't really just turn 29. But I did. This means I only have one year left to act immature so I really plan on living it up. Luckily I'm married to an excellent role model. Here are some fascinating Wood updates:

I put together a co-ed softball team - the main reason I organized it was so that I couldn't be kicked off for my lack of skills and the fact that I am terrified of the ball. We're called the Thundercats, and we had our first game last week. We lost, but really did great except for our hitting and fielding. But we did have lots of fun and we've been practicing really hard. One of our problems with practice is that we all have little kids and it's hard to always find babysitters. So at our last practice, we put all the toddlers into one of the dugouts and chained the door shut so they couldn't run out in the field. It was chaos. Luckily Mags got the other dugout all to herself since we weren't sure how she'd handle the cage match. I stuck her in a playpen in the freezing cold for over an hour. She was not a fan. I'm not sure any Thundercats will be winning some parenting awards this year... :)

Now while I am just pretending to be sporty, the real athlete in the family has joined a rugby team. These photos taken after a game are proof that I think everyone on the field, including his own teamates, wanted the pasty white American dead.

Maggie learned how to blow her nose, and now she does it compulsively all day while making this cute little scrunched up face.

And finally, here's the princess in her Easter dress.
