The Digital Press- March2020 challenges

There are a few designer challenges up at The Digital Press and I've tried to do as many of them as I can.

I have already shown the ones I did for Rachel Etrog and Gone Digital Designs. Here are the others:

These challenges are really fun as they are wide open on theme and style with the only proviso of using the designer's product. For some I have limited stash but hopefully I can get lucky and win a free kit to get some more stash, else I will just be very creative with that that I do have!

Gingerscraps - Scrap Survivor 2020 - Week 1

I signed up to do the Scrap Survivor at Gingerscraps which has the theme of Sugar & Spice Bakery. Thankfully not all layouts have to be about food. Each week's challenge must use 100% of Gingerscraps products,which I can do as I have built up quite a stash over the past few months.

So Week 1's challenge has beenposted - a simple recipe challenge to ease us into it ... here's what I managed to create:

I am happy with the outcome... kept it fairly simple even though there is a lot on the page. I did a scraplift of a layout I saw on instagram from PaperIssues. Looking forward to getting the next challenge next week and seeing what else is in store for us!

Gingerscraps - March2020 challenges

I started creating these at the beginning of the month and now that I'm done I can finally share them all (rather than sharing as I go and clogging up my feed!).

Signature - this is actually the easiest challenge and the one I do first just to get myself started. This month was all about green... not really my favouritest colour to scrap with but the reward kit from last month (Imagine_Create) has such pretty embellishments in it that it was a pleasure to work with. I have used it on more than one page this month too.

Next month I am taking part in the Scrap Survivor game... sign up before 22 March. Challenges start on 24th March.

I will also attempt to do the monthly challenges next month too... will be a busy April but thankfully there are lots of long weekends!

PS - just a side note - this is my 1700th blog post...wow that is a lot of words posted!

Rachel Etrog - Green Vibes

There is a new collection available at The Digital Press called green Vibes...I used it on my layout recording our efforts in recycling.

There are some lovely bits in this kit that I can see it being used for a lot of other pages too. Check it out in store.

GDD March2020 layouts

I've played with  a few kits this month from Gone Digital Designs.

This first one is for the March2020 challenge at The Digital Press. I used the Favourite Kit that was part of the freebie download from the Digital Scrap Parade

Next up are two project life app layouts that I embellished in PixelLab. The first kit uses the Oh So Thankful kit and the second one is with the Back to School kit.

I am slowly working my way through all the kits I have on file...can't wait to get my hands on the next release.

Rachel Etrog - March Stories

It's time to reveal my first layout for my new creative team. This layout is using the newest kit which is launched today called March Stories.

This kit has lots of lovely bits in it but I've concentrated on the pink and brown to go with my cosmos photos.

There is also a template challenge in the forum at The Digital Press by Rachel... and here's my layout for that for which I used the same kit.

Rachel Etrog Designs Creative Team

I took the plunge and applied for another design team and got accepted. I will be designing layouts for Rachel Etrog for March to Sept 2020.... super excited as I love her style of kits.

You might remember I took part in the seven days challenge in December (and won!).... so this is really just a wonderful opportunity for me. More layouts to come in the days ahead.
