The Sweet Shoppe - March challenges

After the fun I had in February at The Sweet Shoppe, I decided to tackle their This or That challenges again this month. These challenges are super easy with very relaxed rules.... just use stash from the designers in the store (even freebies and retired kits). So finally I get to play with a whole 'nother directory of scrapping stash and get more layouts done.

Gingerscraps - March Scrap-A-Thon

Gingerscraps has run a Scrap-A-Thon for this month... what that means is that we had to do the normal 10 challenges PLUS at least another 10 to get a huge free collab. If we managed to do over 30 then there is a draw for a grand shopping spree.

I decided not to stress myself out with doing 31 challenges, but rather to get to 20 and then see how I go from there. For 17 of the 20 I've used my CT layouts (and other site challenges) to fulfill the challenges and have shared them all month long as follows:

I am so proud of myself for actually getting all 15 challenges done... especially as I had said to myself last month when I saw this challenge coming up that I wouldn't take part.... but the huge free kit reward was just too good to pass up. So I dove in with both feet (spent a little money for two of the challenges) and got them done. I even learnt a new technique or two.

This week was actually much easier than the past few and I managed to get all my layouts done quickly. The hardest part is actually choosing kits that are available in the store as I only really have freebies to work from and not all of them are there... limits my choices a little but I like the ones I can use.

One more week of challenges coming up... will be interesting to see what's in store tomorrow.

ps: both my technical and showstopper kits got picked as PBP Picks... getting recognized within the first month of doing challenges on a site is huge... and two in one week is even more so!

 The Special Edition at The Digital Press is where the designers all work with the same colour palette but make their own kits. It makes for easy mix and match. Nini has released her contribution in pieces this month and today it is the final installment, the elements. I now can get to play with the whole kit called Keep Growing.
