baby bridgerton’s book is by far the best in the series
this was … most pleasing. actually i’ll use better words, this is probably my favorite alongside anthony’s. i’m currently struggling to decide which i like more but i must say,, hyacinth & gareth got my heart pitter-pattering. cannot believe i’m coming to the realization, as i write this, that gareth is undeniably more charming than anthony. and hyacinth a bit more endearing than kate.
i hate that i’m comparing it to kanthony but their chemistry was unparalleled. at least until i got to this book. the couple in this particular novel is different which is why i think that kanthony and H&G are equal in chemistry due to their differences. H&G have banter thats slightly self-deprecating and flirty. hyacinth love for speaking her mind has both me and gareth obsessed it seems.
gareth was simply sooooo????? charming. i believe that’s the best word. bc even when he was acting slightly like an ass i still adored him. i was already in his side, but when he decided he was going to marry hyacinth i wanted to scream. those two were perfect bc hyacinth also had a similar realization. she just knew she was going to marry him. I LOVE IT.
the little plot with his parentage + grandmothers diary was fun. i loved that it wasn’t a huge deal but a good part of the plot. it was quite sweet to see them working together and slowly falling in love as they solved a mystery and faced their own internal struggles....more

» This was absolutely beautiful. It's the best KB book I've read so far, allowing it to also be one of the best books I've read in 2020. The beauty of this book isn't just the compelling romance, but the way it was told and the issues that it dealt with.
» How to Love a Duke in Ten Days dealt with a tough topic in the perfect way. KB didn't just skip the part where a survivor is still surviving, even years later. Alexandra was still healing near a decade later, and KB gave that rawness to us.
» Piers...this man is a man. It's not because he was the perfect human when helping Alexandra, no. It was the way he embraced her quirks and all. As far as historical romance heroes go, he has got to be one of my favorite.
» The ending, like most KB books, had an OTT situation. I could've done without it, but it didn't takeaway any of the beauty of Piers and Alexandra. Allowing me to look forward to book two's release in the fall.
"Our lives will take us so many places, but we'll always have each other to return to. To holiday with. To rely upon. We are bound by blood now, as tightly as any family. "

This was so adorable I’m weeping. Aly Martinez has a way with words and I am a humble servant eating them up. I loved this. It was a nice break because it was more on the humorous side and less dramatic. That’s also really nice because Charlotte and Porter’s duet is beyond intense. It’s probably one of the harder books to read with all the emotions going on....more

Tinsel was magical in its realistic form. We got to see Sofia work to find herself. It wasn’t easy and she was lost. Dakota didn’t take her there, but he was along for the ride.
This book spans around a year or so. I generally don’t like that, but it truly fit this story. It would’ve done this a disservice if our characters got together as soon as our former characters did.
This book also dealt with some issues that many of us probably don’t think about. But it did come down to following your heart or the duty of someone else.
I was also reminded of the song Die A Happy Man by Thomas Rhett. Being appreciative of the little things life gives you. ...more

I appreciated our heroine's history. Her fiancé called off the wedding on their wedding day and it left her a mess. But when we find out why we learn how wonderful Faith is regardless of everything. Levi is intertwined in this story, but I won't spoil why.
What made this one less star is the fact that it felt too long. There were great banter scenes between Faith and her family, but after a while I started skimming. I also don't like chick lit, so much because it's so fluff. I did enjoy it, but the chances of this being higher than a four star is rare. I will be continuing the series because I'm in the mood for feel good books.

I'm Lilly Grace Evans and this is the true account of how I ended up falling for a boy who made me believe love is anything but conventional. Love, for those lucky enough to experience it, is extraordinary.
I'm in awe that such a short story has left me speechless and with tears in my eyes. Most people love reading because we love watching the story unfold. We love seeing the characters we root for succeed and achieve their goals. The happiness that comes from finishing an amazing book is exactly what I'm feeling right now.
The romance genre is a hit or miss theme. There are copious amounts of books about romance, but not all of them succeed in making you believe that two people are truly in love. Johnson wrote a breath taking romance that has your heart racing and your eyes watering. This book was simply pure. It's a romance book that everyone should read.
In a short amount of pages I am more than just a believer. I've become a damn dreamer. I will dream of Lilly and Colton. Two people who understand the struggles of love. Two people who found love at a young age and learned how to work through the problems. Two people who found love within one another that ended up being magical.
"I have to ask. Why do you like me?" He shifted away from me then, his brows pulled together making him look even cuter, if that was possible. "I don't understand the question." His hands were squeezing mine tightly as he looked down at them. "You're my Lilly, You've always been my Lilly."
Lilly has been a clumsy girl since childhood, and it followed her until her teens. She's just like any other girl except for the one thing that changed her life--a boy. "It begins with a boy and it ends with a boy, but what story doesn't?" She never did anything exceptional except meeting someone who taught her it was okay to color outside of the lines.
Called special or different, Colton is just a teenage boy that sees the world differently. Art is his favorite form of communication. There has been a constant theme amongst his paintings since childhood and that's Lilly. The girl struck by lightning and survived. The girl whose name means beautiful. The girl who took a chance on him.
Love isn't linear. It's not always easy. Love isn't always about coloring in the lines and following the rules of society. Love can be more. It's hard and confusing, but worth the fight. With the right person, love can be exceptional.
I don't believe there's such a thing as conventional love. Love is bending. Love is breaking. Love is constantly learning about the other person until you go crazy because it will never be perfect, but there's no fault in trying.

"God knows I never sought anything in you except yourself; I wanted simply you, nothing of yours."
This was such a romantic book. Most of my reviews include complaints because authors want to do insta-love, but it never worked. Melanie Harlow seems to be good at changing my mind.
The story isn't that long, but I fell in love with the story of Mia and Lucas. The setting of Paris really adds to the story. Lucas was a wonderful tour guide and knew everything a local should know about Paris.
I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a quirky romance. Everything about this was sweet and romantic. Listen to La Vie En Rose while reading and you'll feel the romance in the air.
"Any requests?" he asked. "Take off your pants." He grinned at me over his shoulder "I meant music."
Mia is strong and organized. Her life functions better when there are lists and everything is planned out. Her fiance left her a week before the wedding and suddenly she's in a whirlwind romance.
Lucas was the epitome of sexy and sweet. Half American and French he's working over the summer in Paris before he heads back to NYC. It would be difficult to not love him. He was everything Mia needed. I probably would've fell in love with him too. (view spoiler)[ I did not predict that he would have all that sexiness in him. That one scene where he gets authoritative had me shocked. (hide spoiler)]
As I said, I get really worried when I read something that seems like it's going to be insta-love. I feel that love blossoms when you have time to really get to know someone. In a few days Mia and Lucas seemed to have connected. Their chemistry was undeniable.
This trip is paid for, and if you don't go, then Coco and I are going, and we might love it so much we'll decide we're a lesbian couple and stay there without you." "You're not her type," I said. But I allowed her to pull me to my feet. "Coco goes for tall, dark, and tattooed. That little heart above your ass doesn't count."
