FOTM Christmas Market
Our Christmas market is only two weeks away and we already have twenty stall holders who will be setting up shop in the school hall on Friday 25th November from 2.00-8.00 pm. Exhibitors range from beautiful locally produced cakes to jewellery and wooden toys. This event is open to all so please feel free promote it amongst your friends family and neighbours. Entrance is free and the Friends will be serving refreshments throughout so we hope you will make our Christmas market the first stop for your festive shopping this year."
Year 1 Trip
Last week Year 1 enjoyed a fabulous trip to @ Bristol. We were given an informative workshop on body basics covering our five senses, the digestive system and classifying animals. The children were a delight to take out and we had several lovely comments from the general public. Well done Year 1
Fixture Change
The hockey fixtures on Wednesday 30th November will now be U10 and U12 at Colstons with a 2.30 pm start.
Medical Notes
The Year 8 girls will have their second HPV injections on Wednesday 23rd November.
Maths Challenge
Children in Year 6 will be taking part in a Maths Challenge on Tuesday 22nd November. Year 5 will be doing the challenge on Wednesday 23rd November..
Team Photographs
This terms team photographs will be taken on Thursday 24th November.
Nearly New Uniform Sale
The next nearly new uniform sale will be held on Thursday 1st December. If you have any unwanted items of uniform please hand them in to Mrs Graham. These should be clearly labelled.
Music Department
Auditions The Music Department are holding open auditions for a soloist to sing the first verse of Once in Royal Davids City at this years carol service on Tuesday 13th December. The auditions will take place on Monday 21st November at 11.00 am. Those auditioning must be able to sing the first verse of the carol from memory. Informal Concert There will be informal concert in the hall at 1.30 pm on Monday 5th December. All welcome.
Art Competition
Calling all artists! Mrs Martin would like you to design a certificate for the Artist of the Week and Designer of the Week awards. Entries should be drawn on a template which is available from Mrs Martin or at the signing out desk. Make sure your design is bright and bold. Winning designs will be used on the certificates for the rest of the year! Deadline for entries is lunchtime on Thursday 24th November.
School Exams
Exams for Years 5-8 will take place on Monday 28th November to Friday 2nd December.

TMS Fun Run
Saturday 26th November This is the day of our annual school run or trudge through the mud. There will be an early lunch followed by our mass run. Parents are welcome to join us. School will finish at 3.15 pm as this is the weekend prior to exams.
Severnside Rugby Tournament
Congratulations to the U13 7-a-side rugby squad for a tremendous display at the recent rugby tournament at Beaudesert Park. They reached the final of the tournament losing a very close fought match against St Johns-on-the-Hill by 12-17. They won their group matches 14-12 against Clifton College, 10-5 against Dean Close and drew 12-12 with Wycliffe College. They were victorious against The Downs in the semi-finals, winning by 14-7. A gutsy, team performance on a very cold, long and eventually dark afternoon on Minchinhampton Common. TMS Squad: Nathan Adams, Tobias Burden, Jason Ingamells, Simon Sheppard, TJ Underwood, Cesar Benito, Andreas Gallego, Ethan Hilsley and Pepe Garralda.
Under 9 Cross Country v Beaudesert Park & Wycliffe
A great afternoon, with both the girls and boys teams taking the honours on a testing Beaudesert Park course. Jessie Sanzo was the leading athlete in the girls race, coming home in second place. Alex Grocott won the boys race with a mature performance. Only five of the 14 runners were from Year 4. All of the athletes ran their best and their wholehearted display was commented on by many of the people watching. The following children represented the school. Girls: Ellie Parker, Poppy Carter, Jessie Sanzo, Helena Brain, Adassa Walker, Dalis Jones and Olivia Banks. Boys: Clement Bentejac, Bennie Sanzo, Oscar Watts, Louis Clevett, Alex Grocott, Ceredig Jones and Vivian Boudon. The return fixture is in the Spring, hosted by Tockington Manor. Cartography Competition
The Cartography Competition for Years 5-8 will take place during prep on Friday 9th December. The topic will be New Zealand. Years 3 and 4 will also do the same topic with their teachers.
