station. All bearings are magnetic and taken from VKG VOR.
Only significant obstructions and spot heights are shown.
These are based on QNH.
Altitudes shown are at the minumum 1000' safe useable altitudes
and provide at least vertical clearance above the highest
obstacle within 5 NM of the aircraft's position.

LOSS OF COMMUNICATION PROCEDURE


ALL 1. Set Transponder to 7600.
Rwys 2. (a) In VMC
Continue approach visually for the duty
runway and land; or
(b) In IMC
Maintain last assigned altitude; or climb to
4500' if the last assigned altitude is below
4500' and track direct for VKG VOR.
3. Once at the holding facility VKG VOR carry
out the standard radio communication
failure procedures.

GENERAL
To regulate the movement of aircraft with respect to other aircraft on the apron, departing aircraft
shall contact Kuching Ground on 121.9 for start-up and push back.
Clearance to enter active runway and departure clearance shall be issued by the Tower on 118.1.
All IFR departures shall contact Kuching Radar on 120.2 immediately on departure unless
instructed otherwise.
The pilot-in-command and aircraft marshallers shall be responsible for the safety of aircraft with
respect to all other aircraft, vehicles, persons and other obstructions on the apron during docking,
engine start-up, push back, taxiing and also ensuring the appropriate blast zone behind the aircraft
is clear during engine start-up.
The pilot-in-command shall contact ATC for taxiing instructions prior to entering the maneuvering
areas. ATC clearance will be issued on taxiing.
Pilot in command of all departing aircraft shall require from Kuching Ground an ATC clearance 5 minutes
before engine start up. All IFR departures will be issued with SID or standard radar departures with
standard initial altitude 6000'. Further climb on ATC approval only. Departing aircraft shall contact
Kuching Radar after airborne as soon as practicable before passing 2000' on frequency 120.2
without ATC instruction to change radio frequencies unless otherwise instructed. First contact with
Kuching Radar after airborne advises the SID identification or assigned heading, the last level vacated
to the nearest 100' and the assigned altitude.
Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) and nose-in guidance for Bays 1 thru 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
All VFR flights shall be conducted in accordance with Visual Flight Rules and obtain ATC clearance.
All aircraft at the General Aviation Apron shall be parked within the 'Parking Limit Line'.
