This pattern makes a doll about 13 inches (33 cm) tall. The clothes and shoes
are not removable.

ARMS (make 2, about 3.5 inches, 9 cm long)

Round Instructions st #
Using a C/2/2.75 mm crochet hook and camomile
yarn, mr, ch once
1 sc 4 times in mr. Close mr 4
2 [2sc in next st, sc in next st] 2 times 6
3 sc in each st around 6
Thumb: ch 3 times, sl st in 2nd and 3rd ch
(the thumb is not part of the round).
4-15 sc in each st around 6
16 sc in each st around. Change to white yarn (Caron 6
brand) in the last st.
17 sc in each st around, sl st in first st, fo. Leave some 6
yarn to attach arm to the body using the back loops
of round 17.
18 Turn arm upside down so that the hand is up. 18
With white yarn (Caron brand), in the front loops
of round 17, sl st in first st, ch 1, start stitch in the
first st, 3 sc in each st around, do continuous
rounds from now on.
19-20 sc in each st around 18
21 sc2tog in each st around 9

With blue yarn, sew a back stitch between the rows

LEGS (make 2, about 4.25 inches/11 cm long)

Round Instructions st #
Cut two pieces of white yarn (Lily brand) about 24”
(60 cm) long to use later to make the sock frills.
Using a C/2/2.75 mm crochet hook and white yarn
(Lily brand), mr, ch 1
1 sc 5 times in mr, then close mr. 5
2 2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts 6
3-7 sc in each st around 6
8 In back loops only, sc in each st around. 6
Sock Frill
Turn the leg upside down (foot is up). Use a piece
of the white yarn that you cut at the beginning.
In the front loops of round 8, (sl st in st, ch 1) in (6)
each st around, sl st in first st, fo.
9-10 Turn doll right way up again and continuing on the 6
leg. sc in each st around
11 In back loops only, sc in each st around 6
12-21 sc in each st around. 6
To make the black stripe, with black yarn, surface
sl st above each white row as you go.
22 sc in each st around, sl st in first st, fo both white 6
and black yarns. Leave some white yarn to sew
legs to the body. Thread pipe cleaner through the
legs.

SHOES (make 2)
Round Instructions st #
Using a C/2/2.75 mm crochet hook and black yarn,
ch 8 times, start in second chain from the hook.
1 2 sc in first st, sc in next 5 sts, 4 sc in next st, then 18
stitch down the other side of the foundation chain
to form an oval, sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st, sl
st in first st, ch once
2 [sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc 22
in next st, sc in next st] 2 times, sl st in first st, ch
once
3 In back loops only, sc in each st around, sl st in 22
first st, ch once

(5) sl st in 8th st of round 4, skip one st, hdc in next 4

Cut shoe inserts with stiffened white felt to keep
the shoe from curling up.
Make a little bow with the 3/8” light blue ribbon
and glue to the front of the shoe.
Using a double strand of black yarn, tie a strap
across her ankles to hold the shoes on the feet.

The black yarn was difficult to photograph, so here are the shoes made with white yarn.

long to use later for the surface sl st on the top of the dress.
Using a C/2/2.75 mm crochet hook & white yarn (Lily brand),
mr, ch 1
1 sc 6 times in mr. Close mr. 6
2 2 sc in each st around 12
3 2 sc in each st around 24
4 [2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts] 6 times 30
5-6 sc in each st around 30
7 sc in each st around, change to camomile yarn in last 30
st. Do not fasten off white yarn yet.

With the white yarn that you left in round 7, surface

st a horizontal line between the two vertical lines
above round 16. Basically, it looks like the letter “H”.
With blue yarn, make blue stripes by sewing a back
stitch between each row like on the arms. Do these
stripes on the back of the dress and on the front as
shown in the pictures below.
Stuff body.
19 sc2tog in next 6 sts, change to camomile yarn in last 6
st.

Collar
Turn body upside down (legs are up).

APRON

Row Instructions st #
Turn the doll upside down, so that the legs are up (9)
and the head is down. Using a D/3/3.25 mm
crochet hook and white yarn (Caron brand), start
in the bottom loops of the surface sl st that you
made in round 13 after you did the skirt. Count 9
sts that are in the front and middle of this surface
sl st and start the row using these 9 sts.
sl st in first st of the row and ch 3 (the ch 3 counts
as the first dc of each row).

HAIR
Mark on the head with gold yarn, the halfway line between the front and
back of the head, the line down the middle of the back of her head, and
where you want the piggy tails to go on the left and right side of the
head. (I had to use a picture of another doll because I forgot to take a
photo of this.) Cut lengths of yellow yarn to cover the front of her head.
And cut lengths of yarn long enough to go across the back of her head
to make both piggy tails.

Using gold yarn and a yarn needle, use a backstitch to sew the hair for
the piggy tails to the back of the head, starting at the top of the head
and follow the line that you marked down the back of her head.

For her bangs/fringe, glue yarn across the front of the head, slightly slanted
to the right side. Make sure the ends will be hidden under the hair on the
back of her head.

Glue and tie the hair on each side into a piggy tail. Leaving aside some of
the top hair of her piggy tail, tie the piggy tail to the side of her head as
shown. Then glue the top strands of the piggy tail over where you tied the
piggy tails. Trim hair as necessary. Glue a black ribbon bow on each piggy
tail.

FACE

Cut a pair of eyelashes from the black felt. Glue the eyelashes to the
large brown buttons. Sew the holes of the buttons in a cross stitch
pattern with black thread. Glue the eyes to the head.

For her cheeks, cut two circles using the buttons as templates, from the
pink felt and glue to the head.

Sew a mouth using black thread and pull the ends of the thread inside
the head.
