Supplies

For this project, I used:


300g (600 yds) of the Grape Jelly color yarn by Caron big cakes
5 mm hook
A pair of crafting scissors
Warning
My skirt ended up pretty short but I still ran out of yarn, if you want to make it
longer or make the size bigger, I recommend buying more yarn to be sure you
have enough.

Abbreviations
st = stitch
alt = alternate
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
sl st = slip stitch
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
inc = increase
dec = decrease

Waistband
1. Ch 7
2. Ch 1, turn, sc till end of row
3. Repeat row 2 until the waistband is a little tight around your waist
4. Slip stitch the two ends together
Underskirt
1.Sc around the base of the waistband, sl st
Count the number of stitches in your row, then use a stitch marker to mark
the sides of the project
2. Sc until the stitch marker and inc, sc until the next stitch marker and inc
again, sc till end of row, sl st
3. Sc till end of row, sl st
4. Alt between step 2 and 3 until you get to the widest point of your hips, try
on your project as you go to know when to stop
5. Sc till end of row, sl st
6. Sc until the stitch marker and dc, sc until the next stitch marker and dc
again, sc till end of row, sl st
7. (Repeat step 5 and 6) 4 times
8. Sc till end of row, sl st
9. Repeat step 8 until you are satisfied with the length of the skirt, keep in
mind that the bottom ruffle will make it longer, for my skirt, I stopped right
before it reached my thighs
Bottom ruffle
1.2 hdc in every sc, sl st
2. [ 2 dc (in 1 st), 1 dc]* repeat till end of row, sl st
3. Dc till end of row, sl st
4. Repeat step 3 until you are satisfied with the length of the skirt

Middle ruffle
1.Inserts hook halfway into the sc rows (row 13 on my skirt), dc till end of row, sl st
2. 2 dc in each st till end of row, sl st
3. Dc (1 in each st) till end of row, sl st
4. Repeat step 3 until the middle ruffle covers the bottom ruffle’s first dc (my middle
ruffle has 5 rows)

Top ruffle
1.Inserts hook into the 6th sc row from the top, dc till end of row, sl st
2. 2 dc in each st till end of row, sl st
3. Dc (1 in each st) till end of row, sl st
4. Repeat step 3 until the top ruffle covers the middle ruffle’s first dc (my top ruffle
has 3 rows)
