Always involves time with friends and a BBQ...........

I watched the Australia Day awards last night and huge congratulations to the winners............

Its a day to celebrate living in the best country in the world......for which I am so thankful.........

lots of events held all around the country..............cities and small country towns.........what a wonderful country we live in..............I am so lucky......

I am slowly improving with my USA geography...........

Now I do know where some places are now...........

Don't get excited because unless I win lotto I am not coming

but.....is anyone near Houstan, Pennsylvania or New York (city) (also Washington)

Also if your around that area do you have a sewing group, great quilt shop etc............

I am spending a few day at the coast with family...........

44 is forecast at home today............thank goodness we will miss it but I will be home tomorrow for the 43..............OMG that is hot...........hope my garden survives.........

the house baby sitter is on watering duties..........but he is not a gardener...........

Off to the beach - (yuck) for most off the day..........the family love it

Australia Day

I have had a few days away and a wonderful time, shopping, catching up with family and friends, eating delicious food, movies, shopping also some great mail........more about that later...............

Jan 26th is Australia Day...........a day to celebrate living in the most wonderful country in the world................in my part of Oz it is HOT and DRY day............one to rest and relax in the air con...........

just cooked a BBQ..........."Sam" would like us to eat lamb on Australia Day but I eat that all the time so I am happy to BBQ anything on Australia Day and for lunch we had rissoles and potato chips and onions............yummo.............maybe lamb chops for tea........

and as it is so hot I even had a beer..............gotta be hot for me to have one of those.........
