No idea what I will work on yet but I know I have plenty......

As i'm in need of some sewing time with friends we best zoom again........

Please ignore the dates below but the day/time will be right for this Fri/Sat.. 

We will start at 6am Saturday morning my Aussie time and for most of you Northern hemisphere people that is some time Friday........see the time guide below.........

Oh and this one will be at least until lunch time but could end up a longer day........Just not completely sure what I need to do on Saturday......

We had driven for about 5 hours and seen maybe 30 cars..........the majority in the last hour.........

Australia really is an amazing country and so vast......

it was only a 28hr drive one way.......we did this in two days......

refueling the soul.......

The day started off pretty stunning.......

Gail @ Gail's Place wins the stayer award today....... She and Lou were on when I logged in...... And yes we only went until 1pm but later then planned but Gail stayed with us the whole time......

Was stunned when Jo @ ButterZ arrived bright and early..... Surprisingly she achieved lots at an hour she is not accustomed to.......lol

I plugged away at Blue Lanterns once again.....5 blocks needed to get joined to a big section I had prepared last zoom to fiIl in the right side......

People popped in and out.......

I think maybe 18 different bloggers....... As always a wonderful mix......

I started joining the big section in the right 3 wide by 4 long of blues...... Sewing from the bottom up you can see the break in the quilt where I am yet to sew.... Sadly I was thinking this was the end of the right side but alas I have another cream then blue row to add to the bottom corner.......

But I can see the end in sight .... Then I will lay this on the bed and see what it looks like for size before I start the edge pieces............

I've shut off all media, social, TV and radio re covid......I just can't do it at present.......

Times with these girls is great in a time of social isolation...... 

But even when it's just due to my rural isolation.......

It feels like everyone is sitting around the table in the Chookshed......

Zoom ZoOm ZOOm...........

 How is everyone today..........I'm still in lockdown and don't see an end in sight yet.........its not been long and I feel relieved to be in lockdown to tell the truth to reduce people moving out of the city areas that are in lockdown.......As of this week I am working from home until X...........

Last time that lasted 8 days........see what happens this time. 

Its ok when I freeze in zoom with you girls you all keep talking..........when i'm in a small meeting it's really weird and you miss stuff you need to hear.....

Anyway lets forget about work.........really need to win lotto so I can quit..........

but as i'm in lockdown with my whole state, parts of Victoria and the whole of New Zealand is now in a snap lock down also I thought it was time to zoom...........been wanting to do it for a few weeks but the last while has been challenging and I just wasn't up to seeing all you beautiful bloggers.....or organised.......

So you know what to do............leave a comment and I will add you into the link............time zones below............as usual pop in and out as you please.............I'll be on at least 6am-6pm if not later.........(ok mostly we have ended at 9pm)...........But I need to make some more sewing progress and I know I get heaps done on these days...........

zoom project update.....

wow what a day.............it sure was a zoom sewing marathon and 15 1/2 hrs later I poured myself into bed exhausted but so happy.........I really don't think I can go any longer then that as I start to get too sleepy by 9.30pm......

Lou in NZ gets the long stayer award she did the whole zoom with me........Annette AUS popped in about 1/2 hr later and spent the rest of the day with us also...........

there was 29 opps 30 of us in yesterday..........only Maureen, Annette(2) and Helen aren't on the sidebar as they don't blog but they are Scrub Stitchin' girls..........

At one stage we had a record 20 on at the same time..........it was great..........

girls popped in and out all days........some in several times.........some for a long time some only short..........but given we are in numerous time zones its whatever works for each person........

Welcome Randy, Anorina and Lianne who were all new.......now added to the left sidebar.........I do hope you all join us again next time.............

I was working on my zoom sewing project Blue Lanterns..........the photo above was August last year............as you can see below I had been working on the top side parts getting them added in.........

yesterday I attached the big section on the bottom half of the quilt..........

This is what I had done up until yesterday then the big section got joined on...........then I had a bit of a hole so I joined 5 blocks and below you can see I got them sewn in and had a cream hole and started to add that in but I gave up as my shoulders were getting sore from all the maneuvering of the quilt.....and it's getting heavier and more cumbersome to move around..........

I am so happy with the progress inbetween all the talking..........sewing for so long you can really see the progress that you make.......

I had so many cuppas as it was a bit cool to start the day...........this mug is from Scrub Stitchin' this year........

Prior to the weekend we had some great rain...........just under 2 inchs.......45mm......

I went down to the creek to see how high it was and had someone or 2 stalking me......Bridget and Casper the poddies.......It was nice to not have to worry about driving to town with the rain as I had the week off work.........back to reality tomorrow...........

This is one of my favourite trees in the creek.........I would love to know how old it is...........

Zoom sewing marathon..........

 OK so who's going to join me again this weekend..........

I don't need covid to ground me it only has to rain and with more rain forecast and the week off I may just be hunkered down at home getting some jobs done.....a chilly weekend to come........... the road to town is disgusting....only takes a few mls at present to make it to challenging for me.........

Speaking of covid the rules are changing daily and people need to keep up with them and do the right thing so that they can be lifted for all ASAP...........as of my typing the only one that really applies to me is wearing a masking indoors anywhere..........not going out and not planning on visitors at present so the rest are irrelevant.........that is unless the rules change again today..........

Also I'm now 1/2 vaccinated so that is good.........anyone else getting jabs in Australia.........plenty don't seem to interested.......these flare ups have sparked some interest though..........

Anyway back to the sewing front.......i've got a good bit done the last few days.........I'll share it in the next few days.........need to take some pics..........

Thanks to everyone who joined in this morning (my time) to celebrate the Chookshed's 9th birthday..... I have friends coming to the Chookshed next weekend so the party started early......

While it was only a short time today 4 hours.........not the record 15hr marathon it was still great to see everyone...........

I think there was 15 to 20 people pop in and out this zoom.........

We welcomed Wendy USA and Willeke from Netherlands as newbies...... Lovely to meet you both since I have followed along with your blogs for years......Willeke I hope I spelt your name correct. And your English was great. I just love learning more about the areas other blog girls live and we chat about all kinds of things when we are zooming.....

I added in a couple of photos from the almost full moon this week......I didn't get photos of the eclipse the next night but it was amazing......

Washing, cleaning and tidying to do before my visits next weekend...... Hardly had visitors except the kids and a few of their friends so it's pretty exciting and a pretty big job. I think you should have visitors fortnightly to keep you on track....... It's like a 'spring clean' in winter....... And I'm in a bit of a throw out mood to so it's even better............

ZOOM ZOOM Chookshed Party time.........

Its that time girls........the Chookshed's 9th Birthday.

I really have people coming to join me again this year the following weekend and with the full nest of friends I won't have time to chat online so thought I would get the party started a week early........

Can you believe back in 2014 for the 2nd birthday there was 107 comments on my post about joining the party virtually...........so many bloggers have left blogging now which is sad but there is still a hard core bunch out there reading and blogging away.........which I love.......

Back in the day you just all sewed along and did a post about your sewing after the party..........

Last year we discovered zoom for the Chookshed birthday when we were all locked down due to covid..........I had an absolute ball and this has lead to many more zoom sewing days..........

While I am very fortunate to be able have friends here again this year I know parts of the world are in lockdowns or very restricted lives still due to covid...........

So if you want to join in leave a comment........check out your time zone.........I can only commit to 4hrs I think at this stage so get up early or miss out if you are in Australia.........otherwise it should be Sat afternoon for most parts of the otherside of the world.........

please join in the fun..........if you have not zoomed before be brave and join in it's just like you are sitting around the table with your friends but we are all right there in front of you on the screen and you are part of the whole conversation........

 Sorry ive been a bit quiet.......busy as usual.......like everyone else...........

yesterday I had an unplanned zoom sewing day......for those that got my email and were able to join in great and thanks.........

no pics........I did some stitchery all day........i'll take some pics later to share........

when I finished I had to go draft some sheep and shed them for crutching...........this was the sky when I left.........

by the time I got home it was dark and the lightning was cranking up heaps.............

no pics here sorry.......we got 13mm of rain......

I'm a month behind in blog reading.........trying to catch up on some but there's lots.......I went ok for a little patch keeping up...........

hoping to zoom sew again soon..........maybe New Years Day which will be New Years Eve for some of you.........but with current restrictions for some around the world you may be home and free anyway since you can't/don't want to go anywhere..........i'm hoping it is wet but I am planning a quiet me day...........
