Lindy's Gang May 2020 Color Challenge

Color Palette Guidelines: soft pink---light green---soft gray

(We didn’t want to limit you to specific colors, in case you didn’t have them in your supplies). 

To enter the Color Challenge you MUST use at least 2 colors from the monthly color palette and as always you may also use black, white, neutrals or metallic colors as well! We are finding that there are so many amazing artists who are joining our challenge, that we can’t keep up with choosing winners! So, we’ll still have 5 winners of $50 gift certificates to Lindy’s, (sometimes more if we get tons of participants), and of those, 3 projects will be picked by Lindy’s for style, linking, etc, (the details are below) and 2 will be randomly drawn. Hopefully more people are encouraged to enter and we’ll get even more gorgeous projects! We just love sharing the Lindy love & thought this would be a great way to do it without anyone feeling intimidated.

Post 343: Mixed Media Love Themed Card

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a Mixed Media Love Themed Card today. This was part of my GD work for Icraft, all the details are here. For this love themed card, I sprayed on Lindy’s sprays through the Icraft floral vines stencil and then added the die cut from a Cheery Lyn Die. The sentiment is an Icraft Wooden Embellishment which was simply colored with a black alcohol marker.

Post 329: Mixed Media Butterfly Card

Hi friends!

I'd like to share a Mixed Media Butterfly Card today :)

Synopsis of the Process:

For this Butterfly card I created texture using the checks design stencil and Prima's modeling paste. Then sprinkled on pigment powders and sprayed them with water to dissolve the pigment, create movement and blend the colors. Then stamped the butterfly but since it was stamping on texture, it didn't stamp perfectly, so I created a loose-watercolored look by using a black zig marker and an aqua brush. Stamped in the background for added interest. Used Tim Holtz stickers for the quotes "Today is full of possibilities", "life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful" and "look on the bright side". Then embellished the butterfly with a gem and in the end created some black and white splatter.
