Post 208: CAS Masculine card - Congrats (feathers)

Hi Friends :)

I've been missing in action for the past couple of days. Took a few days to relax and watch movies. I shall continue to take it easy for the next few days as well.

Today, I felt like making a CAS card so here I am sharing a masculine CAS card
It is a side folding 5 by 7 card.
The sentiments read, "Yay!", "Congrats!", "Wishing you Happiness", "Bro".
I stamped the feathers in blue and sentiments in black (hand wrote the word, bro) and then sponged some distress oxide through a feather design stencil.
To highlight the stamped feathers, I colored them with a light grey zig markers and added few black highlights to the outline.
Then created some black splatter.

List of Supplies:

Stamplorations Stamp- Trendy Feathers 2 (Shery Russ Designs)
Stamplorations Stamp- Fond Expressions 2 (Shery Russ Designs)

Post 160: CAS Mixed Media Card: Happiness is a State of Mind

Hi Friends :)

I'd like to share a CAS Mixed Media Card today. I tried out a new technique today i.e.- "Decoupage" and I must say I enjoyed it quite a bit!

Synopsis of the Process:

The card panel is a wonky stitched rectangle die cut on which I decoupaged 3 butterflies from a napkin using mod podge gloss lustre. After that I did some ink smooshing with distress inks and water from a spray bottle. Then using archival ink stamped some flowers. For the sentiment, heat embossed it on vellum using black embossing powder and then tore the vellum to a rough rectangle shape for added interest, stuck this to the card panel with some dots of Tombow glue. Then created some black splatter with watered down black ink from a zig and then stuck the card panel to the card base. In the end, added gold colored sequins to finish off the card.

List of Supplies:

Rubber Dance Stamps- Textured Flowers and sentiment from Something Wonderful Set
Cutplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Die
Butterfly design Napkin
Mod Podge Gloss Lustre
Mini Distress Inkpads-festive berries, tattered rose, worn lipstick, fired brick, dried marigold and carved pumpkin
