18th Birthday card

Hi Everyone, my card today is for 2 of my Great Nephews who are 18, in fact the story about this card is one I really have to tell. Skip the next couple of paragraphs if you don't want to know :)

I hadn't been on the computer for a few days and this is where my calendar for birthdays is, so I don't forget! I had been struggling for a couple of weeks, with an 18 year old card for the 2 boys, both named Cameron and born within 3 weeks of  each other.

I switched on my 'puter, to find I had 2 days for his birthday, and it was Friday aaarrrgh! to make and post a card for one of them, AND, I was expecting visitors later in the day. I had to find a quick card, so jumped to my Silhouette files and found a file, which was made up pretty quickly, I added glitter self sticky paper to add a bit of bling, also cut on the Silhouette.

Card done and in the post just before Brother and SiL arrived, I was pretty pleased with myself. I told them the story of their Grandsons card and SiL said, but his birthday is in December Argh! Hence me showing this card today for the challenge.

I had to do another one which took less than half and hour, and just in time to get the card I should have done into the post. So one is VERY early which he opened thinking it could be well done on getting an apprenticeship card, which I also forgot!!!!! At least he was thrilled with it LOL.

I don't know what is happening to me, 3 birthdays, a Congratulations and a retirement card, all just remembered, made and delivered, well, apart from the Congratulations which still has to be made!

Anyhow after all that or not as the case may be, here is the card that got me out of trouble.

Get Ready to Party!

Hi Everyone, I can't get over how the months are flying by, May already, here comes Summer, just hope the weather will let us know it's Summer. Could do with some warmth now, apart from the central heating.

I was asked to make for a girl on her 18th birthday and who is into athletics and running, I had nothing for a girl athlete in my stash, so had to go looking for an image, I found there aren't many to do with athletics out there. Anyhow I found one I really liked and here she is. I put a link to the image in case you need to find one for running? The photo makes the card a bit wonky, that's me trying to straighten it in PS.

18th Male birthday card

Hi Everyone, my card today is quite different for me, made with bought paper, a die and my Cameo only the inside was digital and that was for the sentiment, I even added the paper inside too! Felt VERY strange.

Paper is a pad I bought in The Range for £2.99 unbelievable value, it has 24 12x12 sheets of double sided paper which is 250gr in weight. It's made by Craft Sensations. I so rarely buy paper and SiL had a pad that she had bought to make little bags and boxes, I asked where she had it and she told me. Couldn't help but share the info!

Base card is from Lidl
Birthday die by Tonic
Double Lattice die cut down by Tattered Lace
I filled in some of the shapes from the waste
in PS I added a PS flame shape to the 18
then the 18 was cut on the Cameo,
it was then covered with Tonic gold glitter.

007 18th birthday

Hi Everyone, my card today is for the Outlawz Sketch Challenge. I had already decided what image I wanted to use, so elongated the sketch to make it fit. I thought as the image looked like 007 I should make it red, white and blue and with the Queen's birthday celebrations this year, thought it all tied in with celebrations. It will make my Great Nephew (who it's for) think of the UK, as they live in Belgium.

It has all been laid out in PS and printed out. The centre strip is a wave, the "buttons" were made in PS with the Union Jack and a PS Action giving it a gold edge and 3D'd and 3D gloss. I folded white card and added silver pen "stitches" to it, to give the impression of  sleeve cuff with cuff links, I also lifted the corner. I told you I think strangely LOL.  I laid the image onto holographic card and cut with a deckle edge scissors. then added the age and sentiment.
