I used to work for Our Price (at the time the largest record store chain in the UK) and really remember this CD. It managed to make it onto our 'mainstream' playlist so it could be played at peak time. Always preferable over Simply f***ing Red!
I've still got this on cassette somewhere - probably bought from Our Price in Bury :)

Wow! Thanks a lot, Ricky - this was one of three compilation tapes I bought that introduced a whole new music scene to me: this, Happy Daze vol 2, and Best of Indie Top 20.
If only I could find the latter two uploaded somewhere...
