I love your baskets. Deer will eat just about anything won't they. Beautiful morning skys. Hugs
ReplyDeleteDeer in the garden? Not something we have to worry about here. Love your pretty sunrise photos.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures! I love your baskets. I've made lots of bias stems but not bias handles. Too bad about your flowers. Too bad about the deer eating your flowers. They're cute animals but can destroy so much of our gardens!!
ReplyDeleteI like basket quilts of all kinds. Your fabric is interesting.
ReplyDeleteSomeone told me a long time ago not to encourage deer to come in your yard as they will eat all your flowrs, bushes, etc. Not at our current location, but when we lived in South Carolina, we had a bird feeder. Deer started coming in and eating from it. Never ate the flowers or leaves in the yard. Just the bird seed. But we moved away not long after they started coming in to the yard. Had we stayed, we might have experienced what you found today.
Animals can be so destructive! Your basket handles look great.
ReplyDeleteHi Julierose, love your baskets, the fabric is gorgeous. Oh noo those naughty deer, how awful for you, love your pics of your sunrise, hope you have a lovely day my friend xx
ReplyDeleteOh, deer! Too bad about the flowers. Beautiful sky photos, though!
ReplyDeleteYour baskets are pretty. I hired a man to take all the high weeds down in my garden area and till. My daughter and I walked the field, there are lots of trees coming up after only 2 years they are almost 8 ft tall. Lots of gold finches and butterflies, big wild rose bushes, and it looks like we have had some large animals (deer) bedded down in the field. They haven't ventures to the house and yard.
ReplyDeleteSuperb sunrise - what a way to begin the day. I love the fabric in your two new baskets, very rich and luscious, However not in love with the day lilies without blooms, they're one of my favourite flowers in the garden, can't believe that you have not a flower left!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. I remember the birds pecking part of every peach on our trees. Grr.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky photos. Such glorious colors! Dinner sounds heavenly. The basket project is very nice! Let us know how the different methods work out for you.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. I can't believe the deer did that! How sad.Pretty fabric and sunrises.
ReplyDeleteliberated baskets are so fun!
ReplyDeleteso sorry about your deer. wow that is unreal.
gorgeous sky photos, just beautiful
YIKES! Those deer really didn't leave anything behind, did they? Will your plants recover since they even ate the buds?
ReplyDeleteYour dinner sounded delish. Have a great week.
Sorry about your flowers. I've heard planting rosemary in your gardens will keep the deer away.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Deer can be destructive if they dont find food they eat flowers.i got no tomatoes last year between deer bunny and woodchuck.grrrr.human hair clippings help keep them at bay
ReplyDeleteI'm glad we don't get deer and am very sorry they wreaked such havoc in your garden. At least you can enjoy the sunrises and making your lovely baskets.
ReplyDeleteYour baskets are great.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're experimenting with bias handles, keep us posted.
I bought Gwen Marston's 2 classes on iquilt and her liberated baskets look
