  3. Gorgeous pictures! I love your baskets. I've made lots of bias stems but not bias handles. Too bad about your flowers. Too bad about the deer eating your flowers. They're cute animals but can destroy so much of our gardens!!

  4. I like basket quilts of all kinds. Your fabric is interesting.
Someone told me a long time ago not to encourage deer to come in your yard as they will eat all your flowrs, bushes, etc. Not at our current location, but when we lived in South Carolina, we had a bird feeder. Deer started coming in and eating from it. Never ate the flowers or leaves in the yard. Just the bird seed. But we moved away not long after they started coming in to the yard. Had we stayed, we might have experienced what you found today.

  8. Your baskets are pretty. I hired a man to take all the high weeds down in my garden area and till. My daughter and I walked the field, there are lots of trees coming up after only 2 years they are almost 8 ft tall. Lots of gold finches and butterflies, big wild rose bushes, and it looks like we have had some large animals (deer) bedded down in the field. They haven't ventures to the house and yard.

  9. Superb sunrise - what a way to begin the day. I love the fabric in your two new baskets, very rich and luscious, However not in love with the day lilies without blooms, they're one of my favourite flowers in the garden, can't believe that you have not a flower left!

  14. YIKES! Those deer really didn't leave anything behind, did they? Will your plants recover since they even ate the buds?

Your dinner sounded delish. Have a great week.

  15. Sorry about your flowers. I've heard planting rosemary in your gardens will keep the deer away.
