ISF and ISR

Linking up  with JulieK and the Log Cabin Loonies gals...
Go and see the lovely Log cabins in progress....this is such a fun Sew Along...
(and here I never thought i could make such small cabins!!)
(I actually have 21 made --dropped 3 on the floor--but gasp--thankfully I found them)

Next up another will be light round...I will be using a "sky" fabric on all of these....
hoping to get that done today...

I will be cutting with scissors as Rotary work has really been bothering me lately.
Hopefully, I can maintain the good edges....

I've been thinking about how i want to put these together...so many options....so far,
all whites together appeals to me...
*******************************************************************
As I referred to above, I will have to be switching over to scissor work; my arms and shoulders
just get SO SORE when i rotary cut...and I do have a new blade--guess I should be doing some
strengthening exercises,,,;000.

hugs from SE CT on another hot, humid day...will it never end talk about "FIRE" but no
RAIN..lol

  1. Not only are these tiny blocks cute, they are so pretty as well. I REALLY like the text fabric, but then I am enamored by text fabric right now.

  2. the lc loonies are looking good. So many layout options, it's hard to decide. Hope you can get back to the rotary cutter, scissors is another hard way to go. Have a great day, Julierose.

  3. I am sorry rotary work is bothering you, yet I feel that day coming soon for me, too, so I am trying to cut some pieces and parts each day, making kits, for someday. Love your pretty blocks!

  4. those are so cute! You shouldn't have too much of a problem with scissors in those sizes as long as you can mark the WS of the fabrics. I've been using a ballpoint pen to mark...a lot easier than pencil and I've had no bleeding through or problems. I've had carpal tunnel problems and those cutters can get though to use. Good luck with the project!

  5. Looking good!

Do you have an ergonomic rotary cutter? I find them much easier to use than the original ones. Hope your shoulders/arms are feeling better soon!

  6. Nice earth tones. Sky addition will be nice. I cut a round (1 inch off the ends of whatever size scrap I need from the scrap bin) then sew a round. I never cut very much at one time. Actually I never do much of anything for any length of time. That seems to help me. Even cutting with scissors for very long seems to cause arm/hand problems. Good luck to you!
