Panzer IV, Armourfast, W.I.P.

After a busy Week in Berlin I was able to go on with this Panzer IV. After primecoating with Tamiya dark sand I painted it with Vallejo "Middlestone". Then the tracks and wheels were painted. Last part so far is the camo pattern. As you can see in the last picture, I want do it like the painting of the Panther.
The tracks will get a load of "mud" because the details are "horrible". But you know that if you ever bought an Armourfast - Kit ;-)







I know that the camo isn`t historically correct, but nevertheless I like it....

"Fast assembly month"...T 34, Panzer IV G, update

Today an update of my Fast assmebly kits. I started painting the Panzer IV and the Sherman (Pictures of this one will follow).The Panzer IV was primecoated with Tamiya Dark yellow and then I brushed it with Vallejo "Middlestone". Still a lot to do here.
I also applicated the decals on the T 34. Before I´ve done that I coated it with "Glänzer", a kind of cleaning agent for the floor. So I prevent the "silvering" of the decals. The tracks aren`t finished at the T 34 and after painting them a wash with dilluted oil colours (burnt umbra) will follow. I keep you informed about the progress ;-)

Panzer IV G, Armourfast, 1:72

As promised today some pictures of the Panzer IV G from ARmourfast. Please look at the pictures and make your own decision if it`s worth a buy. I think it has some pro`s and con`s. The detals are not as good as expected but it`s nice to get the chance to build it with open hatch.

Panzer IV, Revell, 1:72

Here you can see another Kit I started in my holidays. I had an hour or two every evening for building, that´s why I made this progress. Today Revell`s Panzer IV. A beautiful kit wich can take on kits made by Dragon. I stopped the building at that stage because I want to paint these parts first.

Panzer IV, Hasegawa, 1:72, Update

Yesterday evening I finished the painting on the Panzer IV and put on the decals. For Mojo, I put on the "Antennenabweiser" under the gun barrel ;-). Next step will be a wathering, because it looks like right out of the factory. I will also untack the "Balkenkreuz" on the left side (on the hatch, it was recommended in the instruction, but it looks bad this way) and put it on under the turret.

Panzer IV, Hasegawa, Update

After a stressfull week with several travels through Germany and no time for our hobby I was able to finish the building of this tank last night. It was difficult to glue the upper and lower hull. I had to put the tank into a bench vise for hours and only at the second attempt it worked. Only the hatch is missing, but I have to think about it if I make it "open" or "Close". Now the painting of the details will start.

Panzer IV, Hasegawa, 1:72, update

Here you find an update of the Panzer IV. Yesterday I put on the second track and drilled seven hoels in the upper Hull for some little parts like the lamps or the fire extinguisher. Then I started to glue the first little parts. I hope to finish the Building at Weekend.
