One week of holiday = 2 kits finished ;-) (Humber & Chaffee) Revell, 1:76

I was at the northern sea last week. One week with the family, nice weather (cold, stormy but sunny - as it has to be :-), nice landscape and a lot of fun. Very relaxing. But in the evenings I got time to build a few kits. I built my last tank over one 1 ago, so I started with two old Matchbox (now Revell) kits I still had in my stock, just to get back into buisness.

I also started a Opel Blitz by Roden and a Mathilda from Esci. But these are still in progress. I will report as soon as possible.

Armourfast, Sherman M4 A3, 75mm, 1:72

I nearly finished this Sherman. Yesterday I painted the road wheels, the tracks and highlighted the edges. I think it will become a last layer of matt varnish and I decided to put dirt/mud on these horrible tracks. But nevertheless it´s ready for action. The little groeund-plate was started some time ago. I used the bristles of a brush to start a corn field and I have to go on here. Then some grass flocks will follow and a finish of the painting. The good thing is that winter is coming, my favorite time for our hobby ;-)

Armourfast, Sherman M4A3, 75MM,

Today the promised Sherman. Still W.I.P. I painted it with U.S. Dark Green from Vallejo. After using "Glänzer" I applicated the decals. One on the front will follow, but I´m not sure yet if I need some filler first. Then I washed it with dilluted oil colours (burnt umbra) & devlon mud from GW. The tracks, the MG and some roadwheels must still be painted. Stay tuned...

Back from Holiday!!! After a short trip to the bavarian forrest I´m back at home. Nice trip, but the weather was not as good as i hoped. As always I took a few kits with me, but unfortunately I was pricked in my right wrist by a wasp at day three and my Hand was swollen for over a week. So after two fast assembly kits my modelling ambitions were over :-(

M 10 & Stowage, Armourfast & Fantasy Gelände Modelle, Update

First of all many thanks for your congratulations on the occasion of my "Blogbirthday"!
Today an update of my M 10 with the stowage items from Fantasy Gelände Modelle.
First I painted them with Vallejo Colours: The sand bags with "german cammo beige", the ropes with "dark sand" the woodblock and one bag with "tan earth", the blankets with "khaki", one bag with "U.S. Field drab" and the strings with "brown".



Then a wash with devlon mud was done.



The last step was a drybrush with Revell "beige". All in all (with drying time) it took one hour.


Because I used flashlight last night, the difference before and after the drybrush can`t be seen on the pictures as good as is in natural :-(

By the way: Yesterday it was a new pageviewrecord with 396! Thanks, mates!

M 24 Chaffee, Revell / Matchbox, 1:76

Cleaning up will continue, but yesterday I went on with the M 24. Nice little kit, I have to say. The side plates aren`t glued yet as well as the upper hull. I want to paint the wheels and the tracks first. I only snap it togehter to take a look on the "finished" kit.

M 10, Armourfast, 1:72

I told you about our game on Monday. One of my Team-members offered these two M 10 wich he had no use for. So I bought them. As they are build and coloured I can straight go on with the Paintwork. I like the M 10. The kits lokkoing beautiful. Later I will post a comparison with the M 36 from Armourfast.

Back to buisness, my friends. Here some pictures of another W.I.P. The M 24 Chaffee from Revell. Nice little kit, indeed. This one and one M 36 will be the rest of my U.S. Troops for the next weeks. When finished them I will continue some German Projects first.

Sherman, Armourfast, 1:72, Finish

The sherman is finished. I drybrushed the kit first with U.S. Dark Green and highlighted the edges with "Russian Uniform" than followed by another light drybrush with light grey. Ready for action...

Sherman, Armourfast, 1:72, Update

Today an update of my progress concerning the Sherman. On the first picture you can see the tank after coating it with "future" and putting the decals on. The other pictures show the tank after washing it with "GW" Devlon Mud.

Sherman, Armourfast, 1:72 - Der 200´ste Post!

I posted last week the pictures of the T 34. I mentioned, that I bought two kits and today I will show you the other one, a Sherman. Not as bad as the T 34 but also not the moste detailed Tank. But take alook by yourself. After a primary coat (Olive Drab) I painted it with Vallejo "U.S. Dark Green". Now I wait for the decals from Peddinghaus. They told me that the parcel is on its way, so I hope to go on this week.

By the way: Yipiyaaehh... the 200th post!

Ich habe EUch ja letze Woche den T 34 vorgestellt und erwähnt, dass ich zwei Bausätze gekauft hatte. Hier also der andere, ein Sherman. Macht Euch ein eigenes Bild, aber er ist deutlich besser als der T 34 (wenn auch nicht "Superdetailliert"). Nach einer Grundierung (Olive Drab) habe ich Ihn mit Vallejo "U.S. Dark Green" lackiert. Nun warte ich auf die Decals von Peddinghaus, aber die sind schon verschickt. Ich hoffe also, diese Woche weiter machen zu können.
