Wave 106 is GO!!!

  Wave 106 is live!

Note: Please place only ONE ORDER WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR TONIGHT. We will lift all limits after the first hour. Thanks for your cooperation. Have Fun!

We are still only shipping domestically (and to Canada) for this wave. We sincerely apologize to our international customers for the situation.

Back from the Past

To keep pace with the chaotic unknown that continues to unfold across the planet, we're going to spring a little surprise release out there tonight, April 17th at 9:30PM EDT with the intention of offering a temporary space to have a bit of fun within the current hell capsule that we're all navigating.

This will be a proper mini assortment, so we'll officially call it Wave 106, though it's a bit different than our usual rollouts, as it features a couple "countermeasure" figures that contain parts from long retired molds in combination with currently active ones.

Back in 2012 and 2013, we disposed of the original Govurom head mold (final runs in 2012) and the first Exellis head/chest/pelvis mold (final runs in 2013). Right before we closed those molds down, we produced some secret runs of the parts, holding them back for all these years, waiting for the right time for their release. Though assorted Govurom heads have popped up as random freebies in orders over the last decade, we never ran a "Standard" Govurom full production figure that reflected his appearance in the first Passcode and the first Custom Corps

Well, after 13 years, Govurom finally gets his moment tonight, decked out in extra paint, poncho armor (thanks Jesse D and Erwin) and a soft goods "Renegade" cloak. Accompanying the craggy half-Traveler/half-Sincroid will be the "Last Exellis", using central components that were run back in 2013 and never released until now. To round out Wave 106 we'll also have a third figure available, which connects directly to the ultimate fate of old Govurom.

If you're a longtime fan of Glyos, then this little assortment might be an extra special one for you.

Animation Inspired!

We had a great time at the NYCC, maybe the best show we have all collectively attended. People were in great spirits and really brought a ton of super positive energy to the table. We will absolutely be there next year to do it all again!

Now that the mayhem has subsided, we are ready to release some new additions online that have been waiting to get loose (Sunday, October 23rd at 9PM EDT)! If the last wave of figures was a tribute to all things Real Type, this new round pays homage to the classic animations that we watched back in our 1980's youth (well in my youth anyway, Marcus was still in diapers). Robotech, GI Joe and Transformers were just a few of the massive influences that got so deep into our creative DNA. I was personally insane over the Zentraedi from Robotech (Macross) and all the additional armor designs that popped up throughout the three parts of the Robotech saga.

Some of the most iconic color schemes of those days came from Transformers, particularly the Decepticons. The Insecticons, Seekers, Predacons and basically every G1 bad guy colorway were glorious and hugely influential. The Autobots were also just as good, giving a super hero vibe to giant robots with their Marvelesque color choices. GI Joe was the perfect blend for me though, mixing Real Type qualities with classic color sensibilities. The Cobra designs were just so damn cool.

This new batch is dedicated to all the creative masters who brought those shows into our young lives. They proved to not only fuel our imaginations, but also to comfort many of us when the whole divorce era swept across the country. Our generation is what happens when Optimus Prime plays the role of your parents while your mom works two jobs.

The Big Rig was made in slightly lower numbers as it is on the expensive side to produce. If you guys dig the figure and the response is positive we may try it again next year. Please consider it a fun experiment and be sure to let us know what you guys think, positive and negative. Pics of the new stuff over the next few days leading up to the launch!

Silver's Last Stand

We are live!! Refresh onelldesign.com/store

Argen makes his return tonight, accompanied by a newly forged Gendrone Revolution! To mix things up, we have put up a few builds that you can get right out of the gate with a little bit of savings added in. Their only a buck or two off, but maybe if you're thinking about getting parts to make these builds anyway it will be worth it. It wouldn't be a proper drop without an experiment- and a surprise or two! For a super limited time the Fistful is back! The parts are form the original Fistful batch with a few oddities thrown in. We've received a number of requests for this weirdo offering to return, so your wish is our command!

The biggest addition to tonight's launch is another expertly illustrated story by the ever impressive Ralph Niese. Detailing the exploits of Glyaxia Command's OTR Division, we hope that this 80's manga inspired throwback gives you guys a good feeling and some insight into the strange world that all these plastic goofs exist in... REFLEX!

One last thing, this will be the last time we run metallic silver in 2011. Other metallic colors are still on deck, but silver will be taking a break after this roll out.

We hope you guys have fun tonight! Thanks again Ralph! You are a freak of nature and we love you for it!

Sizing Up and Down

A couple more shots showing the Glyan's height VS Exellis, a moody metamorphosis and a reconfigured Glyan (using all parts) called a Flat Tracker. Hope to see you guys in an hour!

Revolution Resumed

We are all set to roll out a small drop this Friday, June 10th at 9PM EST. It took a bit to pull all the parts together so that Argen could start his Gendrone Revolution, but the time has finally arrived! The lineup is as follows:

-Argen MK III -Silver (with special tampo printing) $8
-Standard Gobon MK III -Silver (with special tampo printing) $10
-Phaseon Gendrone Revolutionary -Silver (with special tampo printing) $6
-Axis Joint set -Silver $4
-Phase Arm/Gobon Blaster Single set -Silver $2

-Phaseon Gendrone -Unpainted White $4
-Phaseon Gendrone -Unpainted Black $4

-Govurom w/Exellis head -Silver $8

-Glyan Combat Team Black Skull Preview Edition -Gray (with special tampo printing) $8
This version of the Glyan has a slightly different construction than the upcoming releases of the figure, as we have made a few changes to the steel tool (inner chest pin positions have been modified). This will be the only time this variation will ever be made available. Classic first run tweaks, once again due to my obsessive behavior!

There may also be a small surprise on the drop night if things line up... Thank you guys and we hope you like the new stuff!

Mono Wave Is Live!

The extra day was just what we needed to get everything ready for you guys, thanks again for being so cool about the delay- REFRESH the store!

Especially designed to coincide with this release, Marcus and I are excited to introduce the latest entry into our Glyos gaming library- GLYOIDS!

After our trip up to Funspot with Phil Reed last month, we both started talking about how much we loved the hyper basic play value of the Golden Age (late 70's - early 80's) video games. The 1979 Atari classic Asteroids was a topic that we kept going back to, and its design and mechanics just made perfect sense to tie it in with the monochromatic nature of what we had on tap.

Designed to be a fun, simple way to virtually play with your Rig (Rig Training Simulator to be exact), Glyoids is the physical manifestation of something I actually used to dream of doing when I was young, that being to control something in a game that acts like one of my favorite toys. I used to pretend that the little ship in Asteroids was one of my guys flying his special prototype cruiser around, blasting debris that was heading for his space colony. I did the same thing when I played Space Invaders, Defender, Vanguard, Pac Man, Galaxian, Galaga and every other game that had those basic vibes. I want to thank Marcus once again for making another childhood dream come true. Simple as it is, I can't stop playing Glyoids and my inner 7 year old is psyched about it (so is the 37 year old)!

Another interesting note that I had not mentioned yet is that all the black in this wave is a little "smoother" looking than previous rounds of black. Everything still matches up nice as far as the hue, just that the consistency has a unique look and feel to it. I personally love the black PVC and it's always neat to notice the little differences from production run to production run. Thought some of you who are into those minor details would get a kick out this observation.

Marcus note: The game was fun to work on, and I hope we captured some of that vintage vibe... glitches and all. I was inspired by Matt's love for working within restricted systems to push creativity, and really enjoyed trying to build a game with no color or gradients. This one is strictly old school- no unlocking hidden pages or plastic, just a race to the highest score. It's also just a taste- we'll introduce more play modes over time. Thanks as always to everyone that supports the silly things we do!
Hint: While playing Glyoids, click each part of the rig, both the main body and each arm to swap the parts around. Who needs accurate hit detection when you have... Tank Mode!

Glyos Catches Mono, The Rest Of Us Get The Flu

Slightly knocked off course at the start of the week thanks to a wretched flu* that hit the household here pretty hard. I guess that I should not abuse poor Pheyden or I'll bring on the wrath of the Toy Lords again. Thankfully we are all feeling good enough to get back to it, so the next few days will see a few rounds of updates, showing some new builds that take advantage of the black, white and gray parts.

Most importantly are the assortment specifics, so here we go:

Gendrones (RESTOCK)
-White
-Black
-Gray
-GITD Green
-Clear Colorless

Axis Joints (RESTOCK)
-White
-Black
-Gray
-GITD Green
-Clear Colorless

Phase Arms/Gobon Blasters (RESTOCK)
Will be sold as single sets (one Phase Arm, one Gobon Blaster per set)
-White
-Black
-Gray
-GITD Green
-Clear Colorless

Gobon
-White -First time in this style!

Travelers and Sincroids
This one was tough to choose for the method of release, but it makes the most sense to offer the figures in their solid color form to make getting the parts you guys need easier without having to always buy 3 guys to make one color.

-Black Govurom w/bonus Pheyden head
-White Exellis w/bonus Govurom head
-Gray Sarvos w/bonus Phanost head

Extra Sets
Continuing the efforts to keep options easy and relatively cheap, we will be offering extra sets instead of the Echo Morph this time.

-White Extra Set -Sarvos chest, Sarvos pelvis, Sarvos head, Phanost head and Command Scar Pheyden Head with painted eyes (black)
-Black Extra Set -Sarvos chest, Sarvos pelvis, Sarvos head, Phanost head and Scar Pheyden head with painted eyes (gray)
-Gray Extra Set -Pheyden chest, Pheyden pelvis, Pheyden head, Govurom head and Scar Pheyden head with painted eyes (white)

Black Rig

Gray Armodoc

We have decided not to spring anything on you guys as far as additional offerings this time, but we are working on a mini project that hopefully will be ready to roll when we release this weekend. Final drop date will be announced tomorrow by the end of the day, but it will either be Saturday night or Sunday night, depending on how we all hold up.

Hope this list helps clarify things! Thanks for hanging in there through the latest attack on our health!

*No contaminated parts will leave the house...

Henshin Wave 2 is Live!

Thanks for the extended patience tonight! At least it wasn't an extra day this time. Honestly, Marcus and I still have nightmares about the Glyaxia launch at least once a month. I can hear the sounds of 8-bit doom looming before my slumber each time I think we are moving ahead! Ha! Times like those keep you on the straight and narrow, believe me.

We are psyched to bring you guys Henshin Wave Part II, filled with clear colors that hopefully strike a few nerves of happiness for our little community.

On a special note, Ralph has resumed the Gendrone Chronicles art assault and we should have new pages early next week.

Friday Roll Out

We are on track to release a new round of stuff this Friday, February 18th at 9PM EST. This is a follow up to the Henshin Wave, featuring some clear color styles that fill in a few more spaces of the rainbow! Here is the list of what's dropping:

-Clear Red Buildman Gendrone
-Clear Red Echo Morph w/Phase Arm and Gobon Blaster
-Clear Red Axis Joints
-Clear Blue Exellis w/Govurom head
-Clear Blue Axis Joints
-Clear Orange Pheyden w/Govurom head
-Clear Orange Axis Joints
-GITD Green Pheyden w/Govurom head
-Argen MK II
-Silver Axis Joints
-Silver Phase Arm Set SINGLES (one Phase Arm and one Gobon Blaster per package instead of two -trying something new with the method of release)
-GITD Green Rig

This is the whole assortment for Henshin Wave 2!

On the horizon we have 3 upcoming releases for the RXH crossover series with Mori, featuring some new Pheyaos action and a very special triple joint project that has some bite (ha!).

Some brand new parts are also being made that should open up even more building potential. I can safely say that my eyes have nearly fallen out from sculpting this new batch of stuff. Without Ron to keep the balance I would literally be running around the frozen woods in pure madness! Thank you Yoda! I hope you guys are ready to meet the all new Glyanauts around April...

On one last note, The Beanbot will be returning to its roots here at Onell and will be renamed in the process. Next assortment will see the debut of the Phaseon Gendrones! It's good to have the little guy back where he belongs.

Apocalypse Saturday

Boris Savic, the brainiac behind Banimon and chief operator of Rocket North, will be releasing his special edition Apocalypse Buildman over at banimon.com tomorrow night, February 5th at 8PM EST. This is the second time Boris has run his black with red detail lines color scheme on a Glyos figure and this particular version is also a first in two special ways. For starters, this is the first time that the "drone" head has had its large circular areas fully painted, and the second and most exciting detail is the first use of tampo printing on any Glyos figure yet! The small rocket logo on Buildman's left chest area is a fully pad printed deco and is a sign of things to come later this year. Come to think of it, this is also the first fully painted edition of crusty old Govurom's noggin as well! It's a triple attack!

I wanted to personally thank Boris for being such a cool person to work with over the years and for taking the time to roll things out right. This is one very talented man who never settles for the average approach to doing anything. Thanks B, and good luck tomorrow night!

Getting Clearer

In the final stages of photography and inventory for the new stuff. We will be launching next week! Also, all the CC 3.1/Pheyaos orders will be shipped today. The archive pics are also all taken for both releases so everyone can get a look at the variety of Goto's sprays and what was in the complete run of CC 3.1. Thanks for dealing with my meticulous insanity!

12.08.2010

Axis Joint Armor Options

Here are a few Axis Armor builds that use one set and two sets. The Exellis on our left is made from using one basic figure and one joint set. The two beefy Govuroms on our right use one basic figure and two joint sets each. This clear yellow matches the recent OSM Inferno very well.

12.06.2010

Axis Suit

The first Axis Suit was a blast to build. I can't wait to see what you guys do with an abundance of these little things...

Conversion Rate

Well, that was insane. Huge thanks to everyone who grabbed one of the Custom Corps Wave. I learned quite a bit over the past few days and was reminded again how incredible all of your support is. The final count was double what I had projected and I've been going like a lunatic putting everything together. Because of the extra figures, I won't be shipping until Wednesday so that I can mix all the figures up fairly before the packing begins. I have just a few more to complete before that happens. All the completed figures have been photographed and documented and at some point will be posted. In the interim, here's a few shots from the assortment. Thanks again to all of you for making our latest madness a lot of fun.
