Cryptophaser - IIXX

Resurfacing for another Bandcamp Friday, here's the second offering from Cryptophaser, the instrumental fuzz duo with my twin brother, John. The new EP, IIXX, is a sequel of sorts (the flip-side to our debut XXII), with more reoccurring themes and a range of influences from doom and thrash metal to video game boss battles.

IIXX is available on cassette and digital, and hits streaming platforms on 11.11.22.

Also - Matt and I will be in NJ this weekend at LegionsCon + GlyCon! We look forward to seeing some of you there, along with many of our fellow Glyos makers. Big thanks to the 4H crew, Jeremy and Joe for putting on what is sure to be a great event.

Cryptophaser - XXII

With the return of Bandcamp Friday, my brother John and I would like to share our debut release as Cryptophaser. Inspired equally by Black Sabbath and Black Flag, this new project is a blast of fuzzed out rock with a dash of wavy synths. We've played in many bands together over the past 20+ years, but this is the first time we've fully embraced being twins and created everything ourselves (including the cheeky video below).

Steady Craftin' with The Crafsman!

Over the last few days we've seen a steady stream of new faces/orders popping up, with a much higher frequency than usual, this long after a launch. Thanks to a tip from Pj, we discovered the above video that was recently created by the mysterious and hypnotic Crafsman. After watching the Crafsman in action (he really "gets" it), I of course ended up exploring the universe that the Crafsman has been building, revealing an innovative and clever mind at work that delivers his knowledge in super satisfying dulcet tones. In celebration of officially hitting the 10 year mark, we've put together a special Passcode Playlist that covers almost every entry in the series!

Creating each installment was always a labor of love, even when finishing things would take hours or days longer than expected (like the Glyaxia Incident of 2010). For anyone that may not have completed a game, or wants to rewatch the stories on the big screen, there is now over an hour of video to stream on YouTube.
