Hi, I think Jomi replied to this, but I just wanted to add that, normally, the user is not interested in "terminating" an AgentSpeak agent. Agents are usually meant to be continosly running. In your situation is different because of your interest in simulation. But it's definitely worth having the means for doing this, for some particular applications like this. Hi Fabio, sorry for this long delay in answering. Regarding good practices, I guess there isn't one yet! However there is some methods that could be useful to detected that the=20= execution has finished: =46rom the agents perspective, you could create your agent architecture=20= (extending either saci or centralised architectures) and implement a=20 stopAg method. This method will be called just before the end of the=20 execution. =46rom the environment perspective using Saci Architecture: since this=20= environment has a Saci agent (SaciEnvironment) that controls the=20 distribution of perception, you could override the stopAg method of=20 this agent to be notified that the MAS execution was stopped. However, the current version of Jason does not support that you program=20= this behaviour in your classes, you should change the SaciEnvironment=20 source. In next version of Jason, the Environment class will have a=20 stop method that could be overridden in your environment class for this=20= propose. I case you want to know how this stop support will be in the next Jason=20= release, it is available in the sourceforge CVS https://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=3D98417 Please note that the CVS version is not stable and still has many bugs. Hello, i'm sorry for the late reply but i was very busy with my other exams. Thank you very much for the example, it clarified some basic concepts i didn't quite understand especially about communication. I made some progress in my work but i'm not quite there yet. Again thank you for the example and if you would come across any others, they are still welcome :) Kind regards, PJ --- Jomi Fred Hubner <jo...@in...> wrote: > Hi Peej, > > We have a simple MAS implementation that exemplifies > agent and > architecture customisation in Jason. Hi Peej, We have a simple MAS implementation that exemplifies agent and architecture customisation in Jason. This MAS is composed by robot agents that perform some tasks in the Heathrow airport in a 2070 scenario. This futuristic scenario was written by Rafael Bordini and is attached in this email (this text will appear in a book chapter about Jason; the book on "Multi-Agent Programming" is due to appear in July 2005). This application is available at http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/jason/HeathrowRobots.zip?download The implementation does not cover the whole scenario yet, it focuses on agent customisation and co-ordination (by communication). For instance, MDS robots have a customised Agent class that processes unattended luggage events first; CPHs have a customised architecture for restricting these agents BDI decisions on certain actions; and MDS agents implement a bid based negotiation. I hope this helps. Hello, For the course Multi-agent systems i have to implement a MAS of the TileWorld (in which agents push tiles into holes). I'm planning on using Jason for the BDI component of the agent, i understand the basic configuration of Jason but have trouble findin how to make a more elaborate system including custom agent architecturs, custom agents and especially custom selection functions? Would anyone have more elaborate examples of systems using Jason that i can study? Any examples are welcome no matter what subject it is on. Also if there exists some more documentation about the internals of Jason it would be very welcome! Thanks a lot in advance! Greetings, Peej __________________________________ Discover Yahoo! Hi,
I would like to know what would be a "good programming pratice" in =
the end of the simulation?
Maybe programming the environment to not execute actions on certain =
(end) condition?
Wait for the user to close the Jason's windows?
Is there a method to kill all the processes except for the output =
window? (to be called from the environment?)
Best Regards,
Fabio Yoshimitsu Okuyama
