The source code of the Jason Team that participated in the Agent  
Contest 2007 (http://agentmaster.in.tu-clausthal.de/html/contest_site/

in the file JasonTeam-AgentContest2007.zip. The team has many  
improvements from our earlier team (the Gold-Miners example included  
in the Jason distribution) and was adapted to the new scenario of the  
competition. Among the team features, we could mention the following:
. New strategies to search gold
. Customised agent architecture to use the competition simulator as  
the environment
. Customised belief base and selection functions
. A local simulator (with GUI) to test the team
. A cycle-based environment for the local simulator

Jason 0.9.5 has been released and is available at

This version fixes some bugs in the previous version and adds the
following main new features:

. test goal now can also have expressions, as in:
	+e : true <- ... ?(a & b | d); ...
   unlike simple test goals, the event +? will not be generated
   in case the test fails. As before, simple expressions that make
   no reference to the belief base don't need to be in a test goal.
. when an error occurs during the execution of a plan,
   the corresponding line in the source code is shown
   in the console.
. the build.xml file created for each Jason application has two
   new tasks:
   "jar": creates an executable jar for the application
   "jnlp": creates a JavaWebStart application

Hi Niel,

Thanks for pointing this out! It helps a lot that you also suggested 
how to fix the bug. Hopefully, this will be fixed in the next 
realease which is gonna be very soon.

Hi all,

In my Jason setup, I have source code spread across files in a number  
of directories. The basic structure looks something like this:

project/
   project.mas2j
     agents/          -- top-level agent definition files
       capabilities/  -- shared "capabilities" of agents
     env/             -- environment-specific routines

The project.mas2j specifies a particular top-level file for each  
agent, as ./agents/reporter.asl etc. These top-level agent files then  
include various capability files using an include directive like:
   { include("capabilities/eventreco.asl") }
This works fine -- the include seems relative the directory  
containing the agent file. However, if I then try to include further  
files from within the capability file, then it seems that the path is  
relative to the project directory, so I have to do:
   { include("agents/capabilities/movement.asl") }

I think these includes should always be relative to the current  
file's directory. This can be achieved by setting the ASLSource of  
the new agent used to parse the include. In asSyntax/directives/ 
Include.java in the processInclude method, add the line:

     ag.setASLSource(asFileName);

before the

     parser.agent(ag);
