Hi,



Please, I need help and some guidance on the following implementation issues in Jason.



1. Is it possible to have agents working in multiple environments within one jason project ?



2. How can one create a user interface in the form of web pages in jason. What language do we use to code the web page?



3. Is it possible that a human user can pass certain inputs from a web page to an (user) agent so that the input enables the agent to choose an appropriate plan according to the input. How can we do this ?



4. Is there any application in the Jason's example or demo list which I can refer for some help on the above issues ?

In fact, I have a follow-up question: what is the correct way of 
ensuring the environment has started before creating the agents from 
java? If I add the "createAgent" calls to the init method of the 
environment the runtime is not completely initialized and I get errors 
in the reasoningCycle (even if I leave the beliefs, goals and plans 
empty at the start and don't add any percepts in the environment).

My current workaround is to change the "none" agent I mentioned in my 
previous email into an agent which creates all the agents for the 
environment (using a custom action in java) and then kills itself. This 
does not seem like a particularly neat solution.

because the number (and types) of agents are specified in a separate 
config file. However the parser dislikes my mas2j file if I do not have 
at least one agent. I have created "none.asl" as an empty file and have 
the corresponding "none" agent in my mas2j, which is an effective 
workaround, but it seems strange that the parser does not allow a file 
with 0 agents. Is there some way to do this?

Hi Abdulla,

The belief is removed in the same reasoning cycle where the intention 
with the "-belief[...]" formula was executed. Although you're allowed to 
do it, it's not usual to delete beliefs that originate from percepts. 
For example, if the percept that led to the belief is still in the 
environment in the beginning of the next reasoning cycle, through belief 
update the agent will acquire again that same belief that you just 
deleted. This is a usual cause of problems with deleting percepts, but I 
cannot tell if that's the problem in your case. If this doesn't help, 
feel free to let us know.
