Hi Nico, I'm delighted to hear you're using Jason for such fascinating application. CASP (or tools for model checking AgentSpeak) was the result of work I did with Visser, Fisher, and Wooldridge but it is still not in a usable/stable state that we could make it public. The project was in fact a bit paused for almost 2 years, but now it re-started with new people working on it and we will be concentrating in the use of JPF rather than Spin. But I'm afraid you'll have to wait a lot more time before that's made public. Sorry about that. Besides, if you saw the paper, at the state it was published it only worked for a very simplified version of AgentSpeak, nothing like the code you can run with Jason. Dear Jason Community, my name is Nico and I am using Jason in my final thesis. My project is about behaviour specification and validation for autonomous unmanned air vehicles like blimbs. The BDI paradigm seems quite feasable for my approach and I am really fascinated of Jason. In the Jason documentation and other papers the CASP (Checking AgentSpeak Programs) toolset is mentioned, however I didn't found any URL to download the stuff. Does someone know if the CASP toolset is freely available ?! Thanks. Gayathri, the implementation of our team for Clima Contest is now =20 available at http://www.inf.furb.br/~jomi/clima/Jason-ClimaContest-Tournament.zip This version of runs only on Jason 0.8.2, it probably does not run in newer versions. However, you can find useful the architecture customisation. The AgentSpeak code of the team was improved and updated in the simulated environment of the Gold-Miners example that =20 comes with new versions of Jason. A paper describing this implementation is available at http://www.inf.furb.br/~jomi/pubs/2006/Bordini-clima-contest06-=20 slides.pdf Regards, Jomi On 27/nov/2006, at 17:03, Gayathri Jayaraman wrote: > Hi, > > I am using jason framework for designing a robocup > player using BDI. Hi, the environment class is normally used to simulate an environment and so all agents ask an unique instance of this class for actions performance. This class has data structures and methods to manage the perceptions and send them to the agents (when they ask for perception) -- the addPercept method, for instance. These data structure is already planned to be multi thread safe. If the synchronisation problem is in your brain classes, you have to deal with this problem in your classes using the Java support for it. Another solution (which we used with the Clima Contest simulator -- that is quite similar to robocup in terms of agent-simulator communication) is to implement an Agent Architecture that ask perception for your brain directly, without the need of the environment class. In this case, every agent has its own architecture with the associated "brain". The synchronisation problem is then probably avoided. In the Jason distribution there is an example of this customisation in the folder examples/airport-robots/cph/CPHAgArch.java (the API of class AgArch also provides some hints). Tomorrow (Nov, 28), our clima contest implementation will be available at http://www.inf.furb.br/~jomi/clima, so you can have a better example. Hi, I am using jason framework for designing a robocup player using BDI. I have an environment class test1 and there is a private class brain. There is a central server and brain makes the connection to this server and adds percepts based on information from server. The test1 class has the executeAction method for actions such as move, turn.. When I use multiple players, say 3, I instantiate 3 brain classes and each brain adds the percept for each player. I have 3 asl files for the 3 players. But the problem is all players access the same executeAction method in test1 class(environment) and so we have a synchronization problem. How can I solve this? Thanks,GJ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com |
