Word of the year - 2011

k, sooo, some of the girls who I enjoy reading the fun stuff that they wrote have done a word of the year.....I like that idea and decided that my word for this year will be: R e l e a s e .... 2011 already looks like it is going to be a rocky road and it hasn't even started yet! I am deciding that release is a good word to use...release stress, release debt, release myself of the crafting supply nightmare in my craft room...release myself from a wad of things and just be...plus Jana took the word I would really have liked to use: CRAP

Project 365 #147 - cream cards

the last of these ones with the three sheets of basic gray's eskimo kisses line of paper (from last year, but I think my favorite by them)...not bad being able to do 18 cards from 3 sheets of paper(see previous 4 posts ;) )...I thought I was doing okay at that rate...now off to do the other 22 that I have left in the box...thank goodness for hoarding nice card bases and for the great steal of a deal they were at the Scrap Yard in Stonewall last winter....bazzil basics super long cards with envelopes (45 of them in the box) for under $6.00. (regular $24.99)..don't know what I was thinking...should have bought more than one box! They are so nice to work with. I think I will enter these in the get frosted challenge over at the Opus Gluei:http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/ and the cupcake challenge at Cupckae Inspirations here: http://cupcakeinspirations.blogspot.com/......so far that makes me at 593 paper projects completed this year...December has just started...if you want to join in in the Project 365 challenge for 2011, get your scissors and glue ready....a new year and a new start ahead! If you want to start now, it is all the same..cuz it is just a challenge to use your stuff instead of hoarding it in all of the pretty boxes and containers (not speaking from personal experience or anything). - there are no rules or restrictions - just a personal goal..come on...let's all get together this year!

Project 365 #146 - blue cards

here are the blue ones - i kind of like the way this colour worked out...was leery at first cuz it was kind of bright....

Project 365 #145 - red cards

Project 365 #143 - pink card

this is my prototype for the never ending christmas card that i just learned how to make...now i am addicted! these are so much fun, i think i am going to do lauren's birthday invites the same way...so much fun...now that i know there is some over lap etc, these are super simple!

Project 365 #140 - Advent tree

I made this Advent tree the other night from a kit I had bought a couple of years ago...I am not overly impressed by it, but my girls think it is super cool....I am not a fan of decoupaging stuff onto wood...decoupage is not my friend....
