SOSS - my first post here :) J is for Jessi

 Hello all... I am a newbie here on the design team for The Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers and excited to join in.  This challenge is about my friend Jessi, whom I miss dearly.  We used to chat for hours and were going on a lot of the same medical journey at the same time.  Mine worked out a lot better than hers and it gets me every time I think of her how maybe it could have turned out differently for her.  Anyhow...let's get to a card that reminds or represents her.  This is mine:

SOS - Splish Splash

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a water medium or a water image - I chose to do both watercolouring and using jellyfish from the ocean.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - emboss like a boss

This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash  is called emboss like a boss - use embossing on your project.  This can be dry embossing or wet embossing or both.  I chose to do both on my card this week as I love both techniques and looks.  Play along with us, will you?

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called Franken-card and the idea is to use something that represents halloween or something spooky on your card.  I thought I would make a little scene of goodnight ghost stories for some spooky bedtime ghostly monster fun.  Play along will you?

SOS - Colour me beautiful

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is all about your favourite technique for colouring.  My technique definitely gets the colour on the page but not with markers or crayons or paint.  I do mine with layering stencils for the perfectly coloured look without the time commitment. SOS - Shake it up

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called Shake it up - and as the name indicates the cards need to shake their booty.  I went for a full panel shaker card with some hot foiling in the background and for the sentiment.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - Hot, Hot Hot

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is all about the heat and feeling hot.  I chose to use flames as there is not much hotter than that....play along with us this week, will you?

SOS - vacation destination

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash  is all about vacation destinations - real or imagined.  I made this card for a little cutie's first birthday - they were having a Hawaiian themed birthday and that is one place I would love to return to so I figured it was a perfect blend...play along with us, will you?

SOS-No Stamping allowed

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called no stamping allowed and it is just as it sounds.  No Stamping....but everything else goes.  I chose to do all die cutting on my project - mostly because I am in love with die cutting and I had a great reason to make my card too!  I am making it for my auntie and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary that was last week and they are in town visiting us this week so I can give it to them in person - lots of gold for this anniversary card!  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - celebrating with numbers

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is our 500th challenge...so hard to believe there have been so many and I was there right from the start up.  We are celebrating this monumental challenge with a salute to numbers.  Use numbers on your project somewhere.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS- sentimentally yours

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called Sentimentally yours - using only sentiments as your main focal point and no coloured images or die cuts to support them.  This is the card I made for my kids to give to my husband for Father's Day and thought it would be a perfect addition for this challenge when I was making it.  Play along with us, will you?

SoS- You're so Sweet

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called "You're So Sweet" and as the name indicates we are using objects of sweetness this week - cookies, candies, cupcakes etc.  I couldn't find anything sweeter than honey, so that is what I chose to play with - plus I bought myself some new bees to use on the honey pot so that was a plus.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - She's a lady

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called "She's a Lady" - we are to use a lady image on our project or make a card for a special lady in your life.  I chose this fun die cut lady and made a few of them (10) on the weekend.  They are so much fun and I am so addicted to small die cut pieces...Play along with us, will you?

SOS- Fold it up

 Well, after a well enjoyed vacation to escape cold and snowstorms I am back creating with Shopping our Stash this week.  We are challenging you to use a fun fold in your card somehow.  You can do step cards, gatefold cards, easel cards or even one without a fold using shaker bits.  Get creative and fold it up.  I'm not sure what kind of folded card this would be considered? Maybe and ascending zig zag card????  Whatever it is there are lots of stamped flowers on either side of the folds and it fits in a slimline envelope.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - Somewhere over the Rainbow

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called "Somewhere over the rainbow" and as the name suggests the project should have some sort of rainbow related image or colouring in it.  I went for a rainbow sentiment and rainbow coloured gradient background and a grey rainbow to switch things up a little.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - Flowers flowers everywhere

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is an easy one...and it is a pretty as a daisy - use flowers on your project...any kind, anywhere.  I took a Pink Fresh class this weekend and had a few scraps left over from the water colour class so I came up with this project and figured it was perfect for the challenge.  Play along, will you?

SOS - Back in Time

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called "Back in Time" - and the requirement is to use anything that begins with the letter "b" - easy peasy right? I chose Balloon, boy, blue and birthday...play along with us, will you?

SOS - Love is in the Air

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called "Love is in the air" and we are looking for projects that have to do with love...wedding, anniversary or Valentine's Day.  I chose these cute Colorado Crafts mice and made them into white on white slimline goodness.  Play along with us, won't you?

SOS - Winter fun

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is "winter fun" - snowman, skiing, winter activities - and how much more winter can you get than animals making snowmen??  Play along with us this week, will you?

SOS - Pyjama day

 Happy New Year...this week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to design a project around some pyjamas.  Mine is not really a new project this week (as we were celebrating our girls' 21st birthdays in Las Vegas this week - even though one just turned 23 while we were there - stupid covid put off our plans for a couple of years) - but I made this card a bit ago and they are my daughter's most favourite Kate Spade pjs, so I decided I would use it anyway.  Play along will you?
