Let it Snow!

We got a bit of snow when we woke up Sunday morning. I was singing 'let it snow' to my granddaughter when we were standing at the patio door taking it all in and when I sat down and did my nails last night, I knew that would be the theme of my nails, also for #Music Mani Monday; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of KBShimmer In Yacht Water, then added extra coat on ring finger with two coats of Swamp Gloss Lizard Stone Hairs, PPU March 2025) no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Journails: Christmas Time

Did a gradient on the accent nails using KBShimmer In Yatch Water, Orly Off the Grid and Morgan Taylor Baby It's Bold Outside.  Had a few issues with the gradient at the tips as you can see it was thin.

But it actually got worse; when I put on the top coat and went to take a pix, I put a nick in the accent nails, so I just took a brush and brushed the colours to cover.  Then stamped the rest of the nails using Painted Polish Blanc Slate with an image from Beauty Big Bang XL-030.

Stamped accent nails with image from Journails Christmas Time, after shrinking it a bit, then added snowflake from the other image at the top left.  I don't know why I spent so much time doing the gradient when you couldn't see it much after the stamped image was on it!

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Autumn Days

We are in the middle of autumn and there is lots of colour still on the leaves; however, it is calling for really gusty winds tomorrow and I have a feeling a lot of the leaves will be gone by the end of the day.  Except on my nails as I still have lots of fall nails to share including this one; here's what I came up with.

Started with a base of Orly Midnight Oasis, two coats, no top coat.

Topped with Dark & Twisted Lacquer Witches' Bonfire (September 2023 Polish Pickup), no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with image from What's Up Nails B033 on all nails except thumb, which is MoYou London Fall In Love 09, using MdU 9, 66, 106, 114 and 122.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Hello Fall!

Fall officially arrived on September 22nd and I've been doing fall mani's ever since!  This was the first one I did for the season; here's what I came up with!

Started with a skittle of fall colours; starting at thumb and going clockwise:  Painted Polish Go Big or Gourd Home, OPI Ochre the Moon, Orly Yam It Up, Orly Caught Off Gourd and CND Willow Talk.  Two coats, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from WH-03 on ring; the rest are from Clear Jelly Stamper CjS-318.  Stamping polishes are MdU 13, 53, 66, 106, Konad Red Special Polish and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  The shadow stamping on the ring was a major fail, but I think the first colour is a nice accent base none the less!

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Blue Daisies!

If you've been here for a while, you'll know that for the last couple of years I've been struggling with one nail issue or another.  But it hasn't stopped me from doing my nails and this was one of those times that I still did them and loved how they turned out, even though they may not look follower friendly or Instagram perfect, but I'm sharing them anyway.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Orly De-stressed and accent nails of Pretty Beauty Unlimited Candy Floss (PPU February 2018).

Topped the Orly using DRK In Living Color.  

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top. 

Stamped plaid using MoYou London Care Bears Unlock the Magic 07 using MdU 01.

Added flowers using Lina 4 Seasons-Spring 02 with Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Dotted daisy centers with Painted Polish Stamped in Starfruit and Edm Navy Blue.

Added more dots using Painted Polish Stamped in Starfruit.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Clouds!

Another mani with flakies and a great image that lets them shine through!

Started with a base of Orly Synthetic Symphony topped with Paint It Pretty Water Gun Fun, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  I didn't share the Orly base by itself as I didn't think I was going to share these nails and this is the point that I started to take pictures.  

Stamped using Sugar Bubbles SB022 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Mermaid Scales

I think the addition of the layered flakies really adds to this mani; so glad I added it before the stamping!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Quo Sweet Lollipop, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  

Sugar Bubbles SB 062

Did a sponged gradient using Quo Sweet Lollipop and Orly Gotta Bounce.

While that was pretty, I wanted to add a little extra, so topped with a coat of Fancy Gloss Witchcraft.

Stamped using Sugar Bubbles Sb 062 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Another Flower Mani

 It's been a few posts since I last shared these daisy nails that I keep on rehashing over and over so here's another version!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Orly De-Stressed, with accent nails of Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Candy Floss.

Kelly Negri KN 33

Topped the Orly base with DRK In Living Color, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped lines using Lina Make Your Mark 03 with MdU 91, and the rest of the nails images from Kelly Negree KN 33 with Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Decided to add a few more flowers, so double stamped using same KN 33 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate on the lines.

Dotted all floral centers using Painted Polish Stamped in Starfruit.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
