Fall Leaves!

We have more seasonal daytime temperatures now and the nights are really dipping, so there will be lots of fall colour soon.  My favourite time of year; can't wait to see more leaves changing!  Here's another fall mani that I did not too long ago!

Polishes used, starting at the thumb and going clockwise:  Painted Polish Cobra Clarity, Girly Bits Butternut Leave Me Alone, Etheral Lacquer Viper, Chance Nail Lacquer 303, and Cirque Urbanized.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Clear Jelly Stamper CjS-318

Stamped using Clear Jelly Stamper CjS-318 using MdU 9, 13, 106 and 107, outlined in Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  Accent nail is Lina 4 Seasons Autumn 03 with same polishes.

I thought the thumb looked a little bare when the leaves on all leaves were outlined but not on the thumb, so handpainted an outlined them with polish and brush, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Leopard Hearts

I've been into leopard prints lately; bought a few tops and other items with the leopard print.  So when I seen the leopard heart image on a plate recently, I knew I had to do it for Valentine nails.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, no topcoat.

After topping it with KBShimmer Clearly on Top, stamped using image from PY-J033 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief, no top coat.

After top coating, hand painted all spots using assortment of brights.  MdU 11, Fancy Gloss Neon Green and Neon Blue, Color Club Peace Out Purple and Orly Synthetic Symphony.  This took longer than I thought and I wondered after if it might have been faster making stamper decals ?!?  Not sure but I'll consider it next time.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to anyone who may be celebrating today!  I did these nails a couple days ago and have been wearing them all weekend.  Here's what I came up with!

Lantern & Wren ThankFall

UberChic I Always Fall for Autumn

Did a skittle base; starting at thumb and going clockwise:  Essie You Know The Espadrille, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Pride Healing Feeling, Color Club Beaches, Orly Lovella, and Sally Hansen Miracle Gel I Don't Desert You.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Did a stamper decal from Infinity 65 after using a shrinking stamper to make it smaller.  I even made it a little too small, or didn't position it well, as I had to hand paint in the top of the free edge the cornucopia.  After sponging Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Instinct on index finger, stamped image from Creative Shop 16S (used shrinking stamper too for it).  Stamped feathers on the middle using image from Lantern & Wren ThankFall, then layered stamped turkey (not very well!).  Ring is Lesly Autumn Leaves with words shadow stamped from UberChic I Always Fall For Autumn and lastly, the pinky is image from Clear Jelly Stamper CjS-220.  Used a few polishes I didn't make a note of for the stamper decal and the following MdU stamping polishes:  9, 13, 46, 53, 66, 75, 106 and 107, along with Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  

I touched up the base polish over the turkey that I didn't stamp very well, and also added a few more brush strokes of colour for the turkey feathers, then added leaves on the middle (not very well either) using image from CjS-135.  

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Fall Is In The Air!

Holy Smokes!  There is a lot happening in these nails.  May not be overly obvious but there is!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with base of fall skittles; starting at thumb and going clockwise:  Glisten & Glow Soup & Snuggles, Zoya Cory, Sally Hansen Butterscotch, Sally Hansen Yummy Yam and Zoya Cory.  All two coats, except Yummy Yam, which is three.

Topped Zoya Cory with Stella Chroma Glistens Like A Gem for some sparkle interest.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

WH-03

Clear Jelly Stamper CjS H-95

Shadow stamped words on thumb using image from WH-03 using MdU 59 and 114.  Stamped patterned leaf on thumb using image from CjS-220 using MdU 106, 114 and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief for outline.  Stamped plaid on index and pinky using Creative Shop 182 Basic using MdU 114, then leaf on both nails using CjS-135 using MdU 106 and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  Middle nails is CjS-220 using MdU 107, then layered with MdU 59 and MdU 48 for stem.  Leaf on middle is CjS-135 using Mdu 9 and 106.  Ring is image from CjS H-95 using MdU 59, 66, 106 and outlined in Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

I thought that some of the fingers looked odd as hey didn't have stamped outline, so did some brush hand painting on a few images using Painted polish Midnight Mischief.

After a coat of Apipilia No Smear TC, added a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Creative Shop 89

Started with a base of two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (no pix as have shown before), then stamped with images from Moyra 51-Friends (pinky, middle, index), Creative Shop 89 (thumb) and SugarBubbles SB022 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and Painted Polish Stamped in Greenery on index.  

Accented the leaves on the index, middle and pinky using same Painted Polish in Greenery and then added some darker leaves on ring finger using MdU 48.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Tropical Nails!

I did these nails one day before work to match the shirt I was wearing.  Not very creative I know but I liked how they turned out none the less!  This was also the first day of me trying out new a phone camera and lighting, etc. so some of the pictures aren't the best as I tried to adjust the lighting, the hand pose etc. for the best lighting but hopefully the quality is good enough for now until I figure it out a little more.

Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of CND Midnight Sapphire, topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with MdU 37 using image from Lina 4 Seasons-Summer 02.

Placed hibiscus using another image from Lina 4 Seasons-Summer 02 using MdU 12 and 84.

Using a brush, I hand painted floral centers using EdK Lisa and more MdU polishes; MdU 75, 81, etc.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
