Happy Mail!!

Hi!

It is a dreary, rainy day here and I love it!!

We so need the rain!! :-)

Have you joined beaquilter's  new FQ club?

The fabrics are so cute for the winter bundle~

(photo borrowed from beaquilter~ remember, dark & dreary day here ;-) )

I just love the bunny print!  What should I make?  I am waffling between a couple cute placemats to chase away the winter blues after Christmas, or small size pillowcases for those little 'airplane' size pillows.... and leaning more to the placemats. LOL

What would you make with this fun bundle?  Let me know in the comments, ok?

Until next time~

Happy stitchin'!!

Happy Haunting!!

Ghosts! Gremlins! Goblins! Ghouls!

Oh my!!!

(Did you see how I had to sneak ghosts in there?  ;-) )

It is the 4th day of the blog hop, and my day to share a little spooky fun. Yay!

I found this machine embroidery design at the Embroidery Library

and knew I wanted to play with glow in the dark thread. :-)

It turned into a fun pillow cover.

Some of the orange fabrics are also glow in the dark~

how fun is this!!??

The little cards in front are postcards I will send out to my grandkiddoes.

I think they will have fun with the glowing fabrics too. ;-)

I want to send a special thanks to Joan @ Moose Stash Quilting for hosting

this fun blog hop! And be sure to check out my fellow bloggers today!~

Christmas Sewing?

Did you know there are only 71 days until Christmas!?

Have you started your Christmas sewing? :-)

My friend is all finished for this year and has started on gifts for next year!~ I am NOT that fast or organized! LOL

But I have started. Actually, I have over half of the things I wanted to make finished. Sorry, I can't show those yet because the recipients will see. ;-)

But I can show you one of the things I have been working on for my DGD.

18" doll clothes. :-)

These still need snaps and a few things, but~

That is 3 long ruffled skirts made from 3 different FQs.  I have since made a few more tops.
I am just tickled at how well they have turned out. My friend sent me a book she found in a thrift store with the patterns for the clothes, as for the undies~

 (aren't they just a hoot?!)

The pattern was from an on-line designer who buys underwear and takes the elastic off to use in her doll clothes and cuts the undies from the larger pairs. I thought it was super clever! If you want to know her name or link let me know, I don't have the info handy right now.  Or if you would like the name of the book. ;-)

I have a few more outfits I would like to make. I sent a Halloween outfit and forgot to take a pic. Oops.  I have some fabric for a party dress yet.  It is so funny~ I was dreading sewing the clothes and have discovered I love it! LOL

 Have a great weekend!

Time~~

 Flies!!

Yes, it does!

And sometimes you just cannot squeeze another minute into your day. BUT~

you try. :-)

I finished quilting my SuperEasy Quilt from @Pineapple Fabrics last month, but getting it bound was just another story. LOL

Remember the super-fun fabrics?

Well here she is all finished!

I quilted it with an edge-to-edge holly leave pattern.

I also did my layout a little different than the pattern. ;-)

I love the effect of the black stripes!

When it was finished, I had a small pile of cut off corners to play with and I made a small table mat to put on hubby's table next to his chair. :-)

I think it is really festive!

Can you believe 2 Christmas projects finished in October?!!

I am usually the last minute type, but have been trying to change that!~

can I display it in October? LOL No! We have Halloween coming soon!

Hope you are having a great autumn,

More soon!

Did Someone Say Fat Quarters?

Do you belong to a FQ Club?

Subscribe to a 'subscription box'?

I have looked at a lot of them, but usually the shipping makes them a little too pricey for me.

Here is a new one I know I would enjoy~

FQ Club

I received the October FQs and love them!~

They are great stash additions and 2 are already slated for a project! :-)

Aannnddd, you get to choose one of Bea's patterns --your choice!-- included!!

You can read all about HERE :-)

My September was crazy busy and I am finally getting back into a more normal (I use that word quite loosely!) routine.  I hope you have been enjoying the change of season and I will be back with more soon!

Until next time~

Happy stitchin'!!

B-r-r-r-r

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
