Wedding Wildness!

Well, we got some of the wedding details nailed down on Sunday afternoon...Lainie and Scott and her folks flew down to Vegas on Saturday, then drove out here on Saturday night to stay over..we all went back to Vegas to the Paiute Golf Resort for their bridal expo...it was lovely...the reception hall was decorated as for a wedding...each table different...there were tastings of all their food offerings, and their preferred vendors were there. Lainie and Cyndi got the cake man reserved, and I got the names of a couple of florists and photographers since that is my job. They also signed the contract for the wedding and reception...April 4, 2009...after that we went to our hotel, Treasure Island, and ended up walking the strip and seeing the sights. We ended up back at the hotel about 3 a.m. The kids were surprised us old folks could keep up with them. We got home last night, so we are still whooped...going to Taco Tuesday in a bit and early to bed...

Super Bowl Snow Day

They kept saying it, they really did....the weather folks...we were gonna get snow tonight...we never believe much of what they say, whatever they say it never happens..rain, no...snow, no...the only thing they get right is the heat!

Anyway, I was sitting here watching the football game, not feeling good with a sore throat and earache, go to check outside and its snowing quite heavily so i took a few pictures. I know I know, for you cold weather folks this is nothing, but to us its pretty big...enjoy!

Transitions

How about that title..that could be the story of my life, I think....mom and dad left this morning for their new home in Desert Hot Springs. I am very sad...I wish it had worked out but I think we will all get along better NOT living in the same house. Carl and I have never been empty nesters so guess we need to learn how to do that....

Anyway....life goes on.
